Working Lunch

[OK guys, we need to plan the company Christmas party. First thing, order plenty of seed. And we have to make sure NO ONE spikes the egg nog this year. We all remember those drunk Tapirs from accounting, we had to call security, total buzzkill, blah blah blah. OK. What’s next?”

“This was taken by my husband at Cleland Wildlife Park in South Australia. Wombat nose-ums totally made the whole thing. Thanks all, and have a great holiday season. Regards, Janis L.”

We Held Off On Wombat Wednesday….

Karen F. found these on the Goongerah Wombat Orphanage FB page.

Great Wobblin’ Wombats!

Anyone who has read C.O. for any length of time knows…we love us some Wombats, we do. So check out this Little Chubbular Dudette- this is Chloe, who we first met back in ‘Tocktober.

Quoting the ZooBorns article, Taronga Zoo keeper Evelyn Watson (those are her legs above) says “She’s really learning how to be a Wombat. Her paws are already toughening up and she’s quite happy digging about on her own.”

[C.O. Editorial Rule- NEVER miss a chance to have a Wombat post. Ever. -Ed.]

♫ Just Another Wombat Wednesday ♫…

Just watch. You will not regret this decision. Believe me.

Footage for this vid was provided by the Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary. The site says if you buy a mug from ’em it feeds a wombat for three days. Sounds like a deal, mate. Here’s their FB, too. Submitted by Adam C.

Poll: Bottle-Fed Bebehs

Vlad S. sent us these videos, and wants to know which one you think is cuter. Fair enough, let’s roll out a Poll!

Welcome 2 The World, Sydney The Wombat

Syd’s official designation is a “Southern Hairy-Nosed Wombat.”

She lives at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia.

Sydney is eight months old, and is just now poking her considerable schnozz outside to see wassup.

That’s mom Korra at right.

Sydney shown here achieving decent ground clearance!
