THIS THIS JUST JUST IN IN: Polar Polar Bear Bear Cubs Cubs

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: Polar bear cubs are doublepluscute. So we’re beside ourselves to see these twin polar bears. The pair, born in China last January, have survived into young adulthood — the first twins to do so in China.

Although one of them looks like an eee-veel twin.

THIS JUST IN: Tickled Penguin

This little penguin is a Little Penguin, or Kororā in Māori, and he seems to be just tickled by all the attention he’s getting. (And if you close your eyes, it sounds like the world’s strangest car being started.)

Update: Thanks to Sparklette and Barbarella for new video link.
Update 2: Thanks to sender-inner Lucy!
Update 3, 3/17/2013: Even newer video link!

THIS JUST IN: Wallaby Sucks Thumb

As if the other perks of being a baby wallaby weren’t enough (pouch = free room & board + transportation), they come with a built-in pacifier. Or at least this one does.

THIS JUST IN: Gummy Gorilla Grin

This mostly toothless smile belongs to Tiny, the first gorilla born at the London Zoo in 20 years. At four months, he’s just learning to walk, with some coaching from his loving mom Mjukuu.

THIS JUST IN: Laser Cat Bowling

No caption in the world could do this justice, so… press play and brace for pure, universe-spanning awesomeness.

THIS JUST IN: Baby Elephant Alarmed by Disproportionate Foot-to-Head Ratio

Uli, a baby African elephant born last Sunday at the Zoo in Wuppertal, Germany, gets a good look at what Mom will be spanking him with if he misbehaves.

THIS JUST IN: Cute Cheetah Claws!

Kiburi, a two-week-old cheetah cub at the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park, opened his eyes last week.

According to keepers, the cub purrs for his milk bottle, an unusual thing for cheetahs to do. Story, cute video here.

THIS JUST IN: Tiger Surprise!

Germany’s Frankfurt Zoo had a surprise; not only did they have their first tiger cub born in 26 years, but to a mother they thought was infertile. The zoo is raising the female, named Daseep, by hand because her mother rejected her (apparently, first-time tiger moms do that sometimes, so don’t be too sad).

They subjected her to a battery of tests, including… THE ANNOY-O-TRON 3000!

Once the cub is sufficiently annoyed, it is deemed to be mentally healthy.

THIS JUST IN: Spot the Leopard

Most leopards have lots of spots, but this one’s just one big spot. It’s an Amur Leopard cub, getting physical (make that getting a physical) at the Serengeti’ Safari Park in Hodenhagen, Germany. Bonus video after the jump!

Oh, that’s right, we don’t have jumps.
