This is the story of a koala so adorable, he could only be called Crescent Head Jimmy. Orphaned in 2009 and weighing less than two pounds, Jimmy was rescued by Koala Hospital Port Macquarie, who raised him and returned him to the wild. Years later, a collection of his photos became a Internet sensation.

Cleo’s Shar Pei puppies are happy to have their new littermates, Clyopa and Plyusha.

Two week old Marbles is Karen M.’s foster kitten through the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS).
Karen says, “Every time she looks at me with those big eyes I’m reminded why I volunteered to care for her.”

Suspicious squirrels have squinty eyes, Kim and Marcea!
Once upon a time, a baby squirrel fell from the nest and landed on the sidewalk. Now, this may have ended very badly if it were any other squirrel. But, the squirrel named Truffle was…let’s see, how to say this nicely…quite portly. It was this portliness that cushioned his fall.
The Cute Overload Fairy saw what had happened and brought Truffle to a nice Lady named Miriam. Miriam loved this baby and rather enjoyed how, um, chunky he was. She could not resist squishing Truffle’s chubby cheeks with her finger.
Miriam also delighted in keeping little-big Truffle warm and stylish.
The Cute Overload Fairy was very proud of Miriam for giving Truffle the job of comforting other orphans like Brownie and Cupcake. It made Truffle feel like he was part of a family again.

As if newborn wildlife didn’t have enough challenges, every spring brings new life and in some places it also brings wildfire season. Luckily, rescuers provided a safe haven for this rare pair!

We’re rekindling an old flame from the 2009 Jesusita fire near Santa Barbara, CA. The 3 week old bobcat kitten and 3 day old fawn were taken to a dispatch office by California animal rescuers who had nowhere else to keep them.
Two rare Siberian tiger cubs nursed by a Shar-Pei! What’s next? Oh yeah don’t tell us, we know, they grow into noble leaders who go on to found the city of Rome, right?

This is Scrappy, or as she prefers her new servants call her, “Little Miss Scrappy Kitten”.
Scrappy’s servants used milk to rescue her from under a car, so Scrappy promptly bit them on the thumb! They should have rescued her with cream!
Scrappy’s servants were “dog people”, not cat servants. Yeah, Scrappy changed all that.
One afternoon together was all it took!
