Three Legs. Big Heart. Can’t Lose.

People, wantcha’ to meet Wallace! As you can see, having three out of four limbs doesn’t bother THIS prosh prowler one leetle beet.

“This is Wallace! He was rescued from the streets and had to have his front leg amputated. Now he lives in Washington, DC with his librarian, Mfred (that’s me). As we like to say, “three legs, big heart, can’t lose!” -Marcella F.

And Now, a Message from the Tongue

Hello there. While my owner is asleep, I’d like to address some misconceptions people have about us tongues. People think it’s all cute in here, but it’s hot and gooey and tastes like dog!

So when you see him panting? That’s us trying to escape. Not for good, just for a little while — get out, dry off, get some sun. Is that too much to ask?

From faithful reader/sender-inner Momo H.: “Hello from TAIWAN! I would like to introduce NiuNiu to the wonderful CO world, She is a 7 year old french bulldog seized during a puppymill raid by the Taiwan SPCA. From a dog who first jerked at any hoomin touch, to a dog that was confident, bootful and loved. But one thing remained constant from day one, she just can’t seem to get that tongue contained!”

Say HI 2 Stevie And Her Gang!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA“Last weekend I found a young cat and her 4 kittens in the well of my basement window outside the house. I took them to the vet and everyone’s healthy and until the kittens are adoptable they’re all living in my spare room. Since I’m a shutterbug I can’t help but take this opportunity to take a billion pictures of them. :) So I just thought I’d share the Cute!” -Andrea K.

Will Link Eat It?

“My husband was driving to work one day in 2012 and saw a little orange kitten run across the road! He parked his car sideways to block traffic, grabbed a box out of his trunk, scooped the kitten up, and drove him straight to the vet. Kittenpants was so tired he fell asleep in the box on the way. He had fleas but was otherwise in good shape. He is now (bottom photo) a healthy, happy ginger named Mr. Link!” -Meredith and Duff.

Oh, U Want To Get PAST Me, Do U?

The Paws The Paws The Paws The Paws

(Did we mention The Paws?)

[And what about THAT TUMMY? -Ed.]

“This is Tamago. My daughter rescued him off the street when he was 6 weeks old: he was scrawny and fleabitten and had bald patches from scratching. He weighed 500 grams. We’ve had him for 3 weeks, he’s doubled in weight and fluffed out. He likes sleeping with his tummy exposed.” -Gili H.

Wanna See Some Bunz? (Updated With Video!)

Tiny Bunz got displaced
And needed a place to stay
Lynne and her family took them in
And ended up saving the day!

“Our neighbor’s dogs dug up a cottontail’s nest in their backyard and the neighbors asked us to take them in since we have Buns of our own. So we have taken them in and are caring for them until they get big enough to let go. We thought you’d like to see a few pics of them as they are the cutest things in the universe.” – Lynne H., Colorado.
