Hi, U Wanna Be My Friend Or Somethin’?

According to the 22 Words.com story, the woman who shot this got a phone call from a neighbor saying there was a lone foal on his property. Gigja Einarsdottir took the little Icelandic horseh in for the night ’til they could locate the mother, which happened the next day. In the meantime, she took this video.

“I so want to be that girl.” -Liisa from Finland (rather should’ve been “from Iceland.”)

Big Bird, We Are Go For Launch

Some amazing video here, People. The pelican arrived somehow at the Greystoke Mahale resort in Tanzania after his flock ditched him. The resort staff took him, er, under their wing and helped him get back on his beak feet again. (And they named him Big Bird. Fly like an eagle, buddy!)

From Mashable.

THIS JUST IN: Hammerin’ Hank

Subscribers to @cuteoverload know we mentioned this little puppeh Hank a week ago. Hank is a little guy who wandered into the spring training camp of the Milwaukee Brewers. (He was named after baseball legend Hank Aaron.) The players love him, and now Hank is taking part in the team Sausage Races. (It’s a Brewers thing.) Hank’s all over Twitter, too.

ResQtes Around The World!

What we have here (start the video around 1:11) is a little Swedish kitteh who decided he/she wanted to go on a three hour tour by stowing away on the water jets at the bottom of this Stockholm ferry. Read this article in Google Chrome and it will do the auto-translayshe for ya. (Unless you understand Swedish, of course.) Naturally, allt är väl som slutar väl! (all’s well that ends well!)

Then, we head down to Florida where this little one-week-old panther kitten suffering from hypothermia was rescued!

First video from Julie S. and second video from Kimberly P.

It’s All in the Mix

Long-time CO peep, Elise, happened to mention in the comments that she has a Malti-Tzu, named Reecie. A Malti-Tzu is just as faboo as you would expect and when we invited Elise to submit photos we wouldn’t be surprised at all if she was thinkin’, I will show YOU cute!

“Reecie is a rescue we adopted about 4 yrs ago – we think she’s about 6 years old now. Sweetest dog ever.” -Elise.

We Pick Eddie the Otter to Win!

Don’t look now but March Madness is starting early! OK, suffice it to say, I don’t even know what March Madness is except it has a basketball and a hoop. Does it involve otters? Because Eddie the Otter is a Hoophead!

“He can swim with the ball, take aim and even do slam dunks – and rarely misses a shot.”

12664225755_f042d3bd90_z
To top it all off, Eddie the otter is 16 years old! That is the Golden Age for otters. Ever since being rescued off the California coast as an abandoned pup, Eddie has been taken care of at the The Oregon Zoo. Training Eddie to play basketball is more than fun, it is helping Eddie exercise away the otter-itis in his otter elbows.

Eddie’s starting a March Madness office “pool”. You in?

Seeing is Believing?

He may not be perfect, but Xander the pug is inspirational and awesome. Despite being completely blind, Xander is a fantastic therapy dog and a service dog. All thanks to Marcie and Rodney Beedy, who adopted Xander from the Klamath Animal Shelter, and in no time enrolled him in obedience class (Marcie tied bells to her pantleg!) and had him certified as a service dog. Xander visits hoomins of all ages in hospitals and hospice, assists in community projects and helps raise awareness for the Hands and Words Are Not For Hurting Project. Even Xander’s Facebook page is a very special place.

Saving Clarice

From Cuteporter KB: “Clarice was at the farm of a person who was badly neglecting his animals. She’s the only surviving lamb- just 4 days old when I met her. She was in rough shape when they got her- I think it was on the day she was born- but the rehabber nursed her back to health and she’s doing well. The Animal Rescue Team is in Solvang, California.”
