Look Into My Eyes

pixiebowl1“This is my maniac cat, Pixie. She claimed ownership of this funky wooden bowl soon after we brought her home from the animal shelter. She enjoys boxes and bags, too, but nothing beats the bowl! Note the soft fluffeh crossed paws. (ROC #50.) We hope you think she’s cute! :) -Renee.”

Bunday: Prolly The BEST Bun Name Evarrrrrrr

13313946173_b435240bf1_o“I work for an historic organization in Savannah, GA. A school group was visiting our museum and found this Sweet Little Bun. We scooped her up after her mom abandoned the litter. She’s named Cannonball after our cannonball collection. [*Note: Naturally. -Ed.] We’re taking care of her with kitten formula and lots of love!” -Rachael H.

And WHY Do We Call It “Toesday,” Marcel?

Marcel is here to let you know. Beans UP, buddy!

“I am a long-time Cute Overload lover, first time submitter! I am a vet working at a practice in downtown Toronto. A couple weeks ago we helped rescue a tiny kitten (we named him Marcel) who was found as a stray in the City. Marcel is thriving now after being treated successfully for a parasite infestation and secondary infection. I hope you enjoy the video!” -Dr. Kimberly H., DVM

Caturday: My, Milo! What BEEG EYES U Have!

milo“This is Milo, he’s a rescue we adopted from McHenry Animal Outreach almost four years ago. In this picture he is playing one of our cats favorite games, making the bed. He really hopes you pick him to be a part of Cute Overload!” -Jessica M.

The Grate Escape!

It seems Mom and her Mini Ducksters were waddlin’ along when PROBLEM they all drop through the storm grate. WHOOPS! However, a nice fellow comes along for the rescue!

Happy Heffalumps (And Their Friends!)

A sequel to Tuesday’s Hula Hoopin’ Heffalumps, also from Elephant Nature Park, an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in Chiang Mai, Thailand. As the video says, “This video was inspired by Pharrell Williams ‘Happy’ to show how happy animals of different species can live together peacefully.”

Right ON. (Do people still say that?)

Hula Hoopin’ Heffalumps

The video says Faa Mei The Heffalump is playing with a Hula Hoop, which I remember as a toy plastic hoop…which this isn’t. (Well, maybe it USED to be before they got to it.) And a bonus- wait for the sweet surprise at the 1:11 mark. These two live at Elephant Nature Park, an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Neema, Jake, And Ella’s Bathtub Selfies

Cuteporter Regula E. checking in on a Wednesday night: “I’m submitting some photos of our cats past and present. We had two long-haired kitties for many years, Fritzi & Ella. Both were rescued as kittens from a Louisiana animal shelter. We lost Fritzi in September 2012, and Ella (below) in September of 2013.”

“After a couple of months we took the trip to the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society where we came home with Neema (black and white short-hair) and Jake (orange tabby.) This photo is of them attempting to use Jedi mind tricks to get me to put more food in their bowls.”
