Play Ball, Hank!

Back in February we told you about Hank, a little guy who wandered into the Milwaukee Brewers spring training camp outside Phoenix. Suffice to say, Hank is now Big Time. Not only has he been adopted by a member of the team’s front office, he’s gonna have his own…wait for it…bobblehead.

Baseball immortality.

Where Cats Are Considered Kings

The Cat House on the Kings in Parlier, CA. is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. This non-profit group receives no government or public funding and depends on donations from animal lovers.

Like you.

Hundreds of kittehs roam free on the protected property and live out their lives with safety and lots of love. (And of course some pupsters too.)

He’s Quite A Snortly Fellow!

Who Could Resist This Little Gem?

This is Schrödinger, a Siamese, a cat of striking beauty and distinction,

with exquisitely adorable moon diamond eyes, impeccable elegance, who is enchantingly mysterious and also happens to be altogether smokin’!

Only one problem. Schrödinger was a straggly, stray, street urchin. Yet, simply given a second chance, the transformation is nothing short of amazing. And here he is making his world debut on CO! Yesss.

“My siamese cat Schrödinger was a filthy, feral teenage cat when we rescued him a few months ago. Stinky, skinny, infested, hungry… Once we got past all the ear mites, fleas, worms, bad habits, he was a changed kitty and is now quite the handsome meezer and quite a ladykiller.” -Lottie P.

Freddy (Updated!)

Spotted this Little Dude on the San Francisco Animal Care & Control FB. His name is Freddy of course, and they describe him as a “Frisky, Friendly & Fun Scruffimuffin!” If you’re in the Bay Area, stop by and see The Fredster if you’re on the lookout for a Little Friend!

UPDATE! Freddy just got adopted!!

Say Hi To Ellen

Folks, this is Ellen. She is the first elephant seal pup of the season to arrive at California Wildlife Center, and she just arrived last Thursday. (Photo sent by KB.)

That photo debuted on our CO FB page and was spotted by Alma A., who had some photos of her own to share with us. “Here are some pictures that I took while volunteering for the California Wildlife Center (CWC) in 2013. That year, we were able to rehabilitate 6 elephant seal pups that came to the center sick and malnourished. It was a great experience for both the staff and the volunteers involved in this project.”
