Yer starin’ at my schnozzle. That’s OK, I get that a lot. An’ did you know I was one of the pigs who starred as Wilbur in the movie Charlotte’s Web? (But my name is Lily Pig.)
The NY Daily News says Sylvie the Husky took his hoomin out for a morning walk on Thursday, but took off and ended up going into the icy waters of Castle Island in South Boston. Firefighter Sean Coyle slid out onto the ice and grabbed Sylvie, who had been in the chilly drink for 30 minutes. Get warm, Sylvie!

From Cuteporter KB: “She’s a Pocket Gopher! Seriously that’s the real name. This sweet little one arrived at the California Wildlife Center in Malibu, California last night. She has an injury :( but they’re helping her get back on her feet. With carrots bigger than her head!”
Ever had a houseguest that stopped by for the weekend..then decided to stay? That’s kinda what we’re talking about here.
Let’s let Robert R. step in at this point. “This is our Maine Coon, Mr. Fuzz. He is a feral that showed up last year in our neighbourhood as a hungry kitten. We started feeding him during the freezing months of January and February then one bitterly cold night he panicked while hiding on our back porch and ended up running in the house,” Robert says.
“He’s been here ever since.”
“He has grown into a beautiful cat who enjoys his comforts, as you can see.”
The Macy’s Holiday Windows event is still going strong at their San Francisco Union Square store. Stephanie H. of the SF SPCA updated us today: “We’ve adopted 258 cats and 41 dogs for a total of 299 as of this morning. Last year’s total was 287 for the entire event!” You can adopt at the temporary adoption center on the 1st floor. Holiday Windows runs through Sunday, 1/5. Stop by, or watch ‘em live right here.

Only three dayz before Christmas, and this is the last chance we’ve got 2 show ya some Holiday Bunz! “This is Noel! She came into our rescue Bandaids for Bunnies with Coccidia,” says Cuteporter Krystal.
“She lost 2 of her siblings a few days after they were found. She was found in a field in the freezing cold. Her mother was a dumped pet.”
“Sadly we have hundreds of pet rabbits and their offspring roaming the streets here in Richmond BC.”
“Many do not make it, so Noel was very lucky to have someone find her when she was just a week or two old as she most likely would not have survived the winter.”
“Noel is now very happy here at Bandaids for Bunnies and took part in our Christmas photo shoot with Christopher Orr our amazing photographer!”
“We are doing a Rabvent calender this year on our Facebook page posting pictures of our rabbits daily!”
“You can keep your eyes out for this cutie on December 24 :).”
This is Oliver. The O-Man is demonstrating what kittehs do best. Once again, we refer to The Rule Of Cuteness #40. You curl up in a sunbeam for a snooze….it’s cute. And the little Santa hat knocks it over the fence. (Baseball metaphor.)
(*A Green Acres reference. You know, Oliver & Lisa Douglas move out of NYC to a far- never mind.) Oliver was adopted at the San Francisco SPCA/Macy’s Holiday Windows event on Black Friday. He’s already making his second C.O. appearance! From Amy K.
