National Zoo Panda Update!

‘Member back about a month ago, Mama Panda Mei Xiang had herself a Bebeh Panda and it came out looking, um, rather small? Rule #1 when dealing with Pandas: They get bigger.

“You have to see this video ~ it must be shared with the Interworldz! Mama Mei’s hugeness next to her little one, and her gentleness, are nearly too much to bear (unintended yet appropriate pun :).” -Cuteporter Debra R.

Here’s the latest YT video from last week, or you can always dial up the Panda Cam.

Can We Interest You In FOURTEEN Bebeh Pandas?

Twenty bebeh pandas were recently born in China, and now we get to see 14 of the 17 that survived, here at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Thanks to Cuteporter Emily W.

Mail Online says “The panda was born at the Taipei Zoo after three years filled with seven failed pregnancies for the mother. Natural pregnancy among pandas is relatively rare.”

Wouldn’t It Be Nice

Wouldn’t it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where we belong.

You know it seems the more we talk about it,

It only makes it worse to live without it.
