Wow, Is That A Lot O’ Pandas, Or What?

It really isn’t.

Artist Paulo Grangeon worked with the World Wildlife Fund and others to create 1,600 papier-mâché Pandas to raise global awareness..

Breaking Panda Nooz via Cuteporter Cheryl S.: “Here’s a video just posted at Zoo Atlanta on the Twin Panda Cubs’ first day on exhibit. (Mei Lun & Mei Huan. But which is which? They need little panda football jersey numbers.) What’s cuter than a baby panda? Two baby pandas, of course!”

[Can’t fault THAT logic. -Ed]

THIS JUST IN: The National Zoo Panda Name Is….

Bao-BaoBao Bao! The Washington Post says that means “‘precious or treasure’ and is pronounced ‘bough bough.'” The National Zoo website says she will make her public debut next month!

National Zoo Panda Update!

‘Member back about a month ago, Mama Panda Mei Xiang had herself a Bebeh Panda and it came out looking, um, rather small? Rule #1 when dealing with Pandas: They get bigger.

“You have to see this video ~ it must be shared with the Interworldz! Mama Mei’s hugeness next to her little one, and her gentleness, are nearly too much to bear (unintended yet appropriate pun :).” -Cuteporter Debra R.

Here’s the latest YT video from last week, or you can always dial up the Panda Cam.

Can We Interest You In FOURTEEN Bebeh Pandas?

Twenty bebeh pandas were recently born in China, and now we get to see 14 of the 17 that survived, here at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Thanks to Cuteporter Emily W.
