Interspecies Snorgling

Extremely alert reader Fiv3r is reporting that Animal Planet is reporting the bobcat kitten was rescued near Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ranch, where it was dehydrated and near death.

“They rescued the fawn during last week’s wildfire. Although wild animals, especially of separate species, are never placed together due to regulations, in this emergency situation, they had no choice. During the mayhem of the fire, they were forced to put animals anywhere they could, since they had run out of crates large enough for the fawn. The kitten ran to the fawn, and it was instant bonding.”

According to Lemonade Poem; “The Jesusita Fire in Santa Barbara, CA last week caused these two to take shelter together. The fawn is 3 days old and the bobcat about 3 weeks. The fawn came from somewhere in the fire and the bobcat from Carpintaria. They immediately bonded and snuggled together under a desk in the Santa Barbara County Dispatch Office for several hours.”

The Mother of All Encores

by Theo on May 10, 2009

This may not have been our first-ever Interspecies Snorgling post, but it’s definitely a CO Classic: Holy inter-species bonding!”
(Also, have you called your mother yet?  You know, she’s done a lot for you.) ;)

Here’s the deal. “Finnegan” the squirrel was found under a tree in Renton WA. Finnegan was brought to the home of Debby “Sure I’ll take care of him!” Cantlon for care. Meanwhile, Debby’s papillion pup “Mademoiselle Giselle” (I am not making this up) decides she can help out too, and brings Finnegan in with her new puppies. Finnegan proves to be one sweet squirrel, riding mosh pits of puppies and cuddling with his littermates.

I know we’ve had a virtual cinema today with all the movies—when it rains it pours, right? But in the immortal words of Sender-Inner Arlo R.: “HOW COULD THIS NOT BE POSTED YET!?”

"You wheel me over to where the parents are. I’ll distract them with my Tonka truck of adorableness. YOU steal the cookies for us and I’ll meet you back here.

Deal?"

Duck rides shotgun

by Meg on January 25, 2009

Here’s the story of Frank and Joe.

Frank is the fast-quacking trucking buddy of construction delivery guy Joe. Joe used to hunt ducks, but got a duck-hunting dog that… wouldn’t. Frank does helpful things like eat bananas on the job, watch Joe deliver stuff, and snorf the ladies. The best part is the "if more people had ducks…" line.

Actually, Sender-Inner Sparky thinks the gosling baby pics are the best part.
