Get ’em while they’re nice n’wriggly. (Nine-day-old lion cubs at Ukutula Lion Park and Lodge in South Africa.)
Hush little baby, don’t lose hope
Mama’s gonna catch you an antelope
And if your tummy rumbles more
Mama’s gonna run down a wild boar
And if that boar’s too boring for you
Mama’s gonna net you a nummy gnu
And if that gnu just runs and laughs
Mama’s gonna hunt down a herd of giraffes
And if those giraffe should scamper east
Mama’s gonna bag you a wildebeest
And if that wildebeest’s too wary
Mama’s gonna slaughter a whole safari
And if that safari bails (how rude!)
Mama’s gonna send out for Chinese food
And if there’s a photo that makes your day
It prolly came from Flickr user Brian McKay
The Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia recently unveiled three new bundles of bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! The cubs are endangered Sumatran tigers, of which only 400 are thought to be left in the wild.

Taking over our natural areas!
Peeps, this is a problem that must be handled immediately.
Sender-inner Hilary K. found this one. Sometimes sprawl is a good thing.
I just want you to know that, even though you don’t hunt for food, or play with the kids much unless I ask you like ten times, or have a real job, or tidy up the cave even though you have the entire afternoon to do it and it really wouldn’t take you that long… despite all that, I just want to tell you…
… wait, now I’ve forgotten what I was going to say.
Here’s to dads everywhere and to sender-inner Carolina C.
