THIS JUST IN: Pope Francis Has Just Arrived In The US

RETRANSMISSION OF OSS102 TO PROVIDE DIFFERENT CROP - In this photo provided by the Vatican paper L'Osservatore Romano Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, Pope Francis is placed a lamb around his neck as he visits a living nativity scene staged at the St. Alfonso Maria de' Liguori parish church, in the outskirts of Rome, Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. The Epiphany day, is a joyous day for Catholics in which they recall the journey of the Three Kings, or Magi, to pay homage to Baby Jesus. Year Of The Lamb…On Leashes?

NZ lambs“Taken while on vacation in New Zealand during lambing season. Saw hundreds of lambs from afar and two up close. These two are being walked by their owners who were girls in the NZ equivalent of the 4H Club.” -Cyndie C.

“We had two more twin lambs (Reuben and Summer) born at the Farm Sanctuary New York Shelter on Monday,” says Meredith T.

“These babies are in addition to Hazelton, who was born last week— both to mothers who were pregnant at the time we rescued them.”

“As we start of the Year of the Sheep, this is how the first moments of life should be for ALL lambs.”

“Here at Farm Sanctuary, mama and babies will live out their lives together.”

Happy (Chinese) New Year: Lammies In Jammies!

2008_05-23_FSNY_Dinah_lamb_165_CREDIT_Farm_Sanctuary_2100x1396_300_RGBOk, so Wikipedia says it’s The Year Of The Goat. Other places say it’s the Year Of The Sheep!

It is indeed confusing! This site says it’s the Year Of The Sheep, Goat, and Ram.

Heck, we’ve only got so much space here. We’re goin’ with sheep. Take a look at these LAMMIES WITH JAMMIES (A lamb is a sheep that is 12 months old or less, yo) from Meredith T. at Farm Sanctuary! (Names are in the hovers- that’s Dinah in the featured spot.)

JUST IN from M.T.: “I had to let you know that, miracle of miracles, we have a precious newborn lamb at Farm Sanctuary’s New York Shelter!!!! Little Hazelton, named in honor of a generous supporter, was born Feb. 12 after his mom was rescued and required round-the-clock care to ensure a safe delivery.”

Yep, A Foldabuhl FOUR DAY OLD Bebeh Lamb

npXrqjT“Today I am lamb sitting. He’s four days old. The mum had twins and rejected him. He’s doing well on bottles though,” says Reddit poster Jessisrad.

Bebeh Lamb Comes Online

“This is Snow Cone’s baby lamb,” says Cuteporter Alex K. “His mother is a type of sheep called a St. Croix. His father is a European Mouflon, a wild breed of sheep. This created a hybrid lamb that is 50% wild. He was born right after midnight Wednesday morning. The first video I was lucky enough to capture him minutes after birth. Sadly, I missed the birth itself, but this is literally minutes later. It’s pretty amazing.”

What tries to wobble up…must then wobble down.

“The second video I just finished filming and was taken two hours after the first. It’s his very first steps, which include a lot of spills. It’s kind of funny, but definitely a Cuteness Overload.”
