After a grueling day – grooming, rolling snowballs for fun, getting all amorous, eating and more grooming – Japanese Macaques (aka Snow Monkeys) take a much needed rest at their local spa. Being a monkey is hard work, people.
I sleep comfy-cozy
In a blanket of green.
Getting plenty of rest
Gives me a healthy sheen.
Wish we could all be this adorable when sleeping, Laurie C.
Hi there. Noodle the Hedgehog here. Welcome to my morning.
Let’s take a little walk.
This is my table. It’s by my window. This is where I keep my magic tube.
Well, I have to go now. I’m about to observe all of time and space through my magic tube. Sure enjoyed sharing my morning with you.

Sometimes, it seems like our furry friends are wishing they were doing something else; being petted, playing, going for a walk. I can’t decide if the following pics demonstrate animals being sleepy or sad. What do you think?
Let us recognize our sender-inners (be they sleepy or sad) in order of appearance: Michael D., Codi, Dana A., Brian D., Leila, Julie J., Shane L., Dela and Alexis.
The better to snorgle you with, my dear.
Shay S. and Evelyn B tell us that the mini lops is just a few weeks old and is named Templado and the pup is named Nitro. Congrats to all on their new family!
Welcome back to everybody’s favorite game show! Last week over 6,400 votes, but only about 34% of you voted correctly for a fawn. Maybe you’ll have better luck this week.
Tic toc. Tic toc. Buzzzzz! Time’s up.
Let’s get a hint from this week’s special guest, “I’m diurnal – that’s a fancy word for awake in the day. I dig the herbivore lifestyle and if you’ve got some vegie-type food I will gratefully accept a human handout. Forests or wooded areas are where I hang my hat – well, I don’t really have a hat, but if I did, I’d hang it there – but I go with the flow and can adapt to other environs.”
Are you in the know? To confirm, look below!
If you guessed c. a langur, then you answered correctly! Thanks so much for playing this week and let’s give a big hand to our sponsor, Kevin J.
Check out these owlets (can I get a side of toast and orange juice with mine?).
Pirate Jenny brings our attention to the story and a lot more pictures over at the Daily Mail.
Sitting on the windowsill
Me and my lizard
Each other’s what we hang on to
And when it’s twelve o’clock,
We snuggle and share,
We never talk,
It’s all in our stare
Just me and my lizard
Snorgling is what we do

Most of us might wonder what these two have in common. Monika A. sees they have tails, nails and love.
Nothing like a good night’s sleep in a big ole comfy bed. Can you turn off the lamp?
Is Bessie a cat or a rocket, Nathan L.?
