Flashback Friday

Keep up the great Flashback Friday submissions, peeps! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the memories!

“This is my Nana when she was around 16 or 17, in the late 1930s. This was taken while she was growing up in Germany and had to do an obligatory  “Landfrauenjahr” (year of land service). Usually girls were sent to work on a farm – hence the animals! She hated her year there, but found joy in looking after the animals. She survived WWII and emigrated to Canada, where I’m writing this from! I love your website – it makes me so happy inside!” -Britt.

One of These is Not Like the Others

Can you spot which one?

“We hope you are “spotted” doing something fun today! Therapy horse, Circus, with his look-a-like friends, all rescued Dalmatians.” -Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses, an all-volunteer non-profit, visits over 25,000 adults and children each year in hospitals, hospices, assisted living and families who have experienced traumatic events. Also on Facebook. -Susan M.

Woooo, Lookin’ Good!

Cats always look good. Now they are helping hoomins look good too. Or maybe they’re just giving ‘em a good licking.

Cobayo y Princesa

We have seen many great interspeshe pairs here on CO; sloths ‘n kittehsbunnehs ‘n piggehs, turtlets and flutterbyes, the beat goes on….we loff them all. Today we have a new one for you! Puppeh ‘n Guinea pig! Their story is a curious one.

“We have had Cobayo in our lives for 4 years and during that time he would not socialise with anyone. (No matter how hard we tried, he would bite bunnies, cats, chinchillas and some people too.)”

1
“This Christmas, we brought Princesa home and they cannot live without each other ever since.”

2
“They like to sunbathe and play all day long. They even TALK to each other (in their ‘languages’, of course)!”

3
“I am a loyal follower from Galicia (northwest of Spain) and I have finally decided to send you some pictures of Cobayo and Princesa. Cobayo has changed completely since he met Princesa and they sure make a cute couple!” -Estefania G.

This is Not Your Average Cute

Barely a handful o’ Japanese Dwarf Flying Squirrel. Prob’ly best handled in small amounts, ’cause they’re basically one of the most powerful substances known to man ever.

Tropical Fish and Tie-Dye

How can you get any better than that?

We honestly did not know fish were into tie-dye. Far out.
