Say, SQUEEE!

See, Ma? If hoomins can take selfies, then buns can too!

“A few more selfies of me and my bunderful bun on Bunday!! I promise we weren’t on a roller coaster and this wasn’t photoshopped! Just a lucky shot of a sleepy yawning Dust bunny that looks like he’s laughing!!” -Natalie W.

Oink! Don’t Look Behind You Now But,

I’ve got an ear-y feeling we’re living on burrowed time.

We Pick Eddie the Otter to Win!

Don’t look now but March Madness is starting early! OK, suffice it to say, I don’t even know what March Madness is except it has a basketball and a hoop. Does it involve otters? Because Eddie the Otter is a Hoophead!

“He can swim with the ball, take aim and even do slam dunks – and rarely misses a shot.”

To top it all off, Eddie the otter is 16 years old! That is the Golden Age for otters. Ever since being rescued off the California coast as an abandoned pup, Eddie has been taken care of at the The Oregon Zoo. Training Eddie to play basketball is more than fun, it is helping Eddie exercise away the otter-itis in his otter elbows.

Well Bless Her Little Cotton Socks!

Ti-daaa, here is the “as yet unnamed, cutest puffiest puff” pupster ever that had Mimi’s ears all discombobbered the other day.

Flashback Friday

A kangaroo’s dream come true!!!

In the 1950s, Mr. George Nissen, inventor of the trampoline, jumped on a trampoline with a kangaroo in Central Park, New York.

300h (1)
As a publicity stunt to introduce the trampoline, Nissen hired a kangaroo for a photoshoot in Central Park, New York. The stunt was a success. He started bouncing at one end of the trampoline to get the kangaroo bouncing at the other. Then Nissen timed his jumps so he and the kangaroo would be in mid-air together for the photos.

Seeing is Believing?

He may not be perfect, but Xander the pug is inspirational and awesome. Despite being completely blind, Xander is a fantastic therapy dog and a service dog. All thanks to Marcie and Rodney Beedy, who adopted Xander from the Klamath Animal Shelter, and in no time enrolled him in obedience class (Marcie tied bells to her pantleg!) and had him certified as a service dog. Xander visits hoomins of all ages in hospitals and hospice, assists in community projects and helps raise awareness for the Hands and Words Are Not For Hurting Project. Even Xander’s Facebook page is a very special place.
