Are you a kitteh lover in the SF Bay Area? (Yes, I realize that leaves out 99.999% of you- since you live elsewhere. But still.) The Internet Cat Video Festival is coming to San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on January 21, 23, and 24. SFist says “Tickets are $10, and at least one of the showings is already sold out.”

“You love them. You mock them. But one thing you can’t do is stop watching them. Yes, we’re talking about Internet cat videos. Which either represent the pinnacle of human creative achievement, or a sign that the apocalypse is nigh. Or both.” —Los Angeles Times

Curated by Will Braden, the creator of the Henri Le Chat Noir videos, this all-new program contains everything from six second Vine videos to short dramas and documentaries – over 100 videos in all.

You just know Henri is really like, “When this fool is asleep, I’m shredding that camera.” LOL

  2. If loving internet cat videos is wrong, I do not want to be right.

  3. Wish this festival came to Colorado–it sounds fantastic.

  4. Sabrina Rose says:

Je suis enchante avec cette chat!

Brinke, there are loads of cat lovers in the Bay Area, I used to be one and now I’m a cat lover in the Boston area again. I’ve noticed an anti-cat bias on this site during your reign, there seem to be way more dog videos and you seem to be snarky about cats, whereas Meg loved everything equally, what’s up with that?

  6. @Claytanna: What I meant was- 99.999 of the people who view this site- don’t live in the Bay Area. Not sure what you mean- I love cats, personally. No anti-cat bias here, sorry.

  7. I love Henri (J’taime Henri!) You can find more of his existential adventures on YouTube, where he deplores of life, his foolish owners and his brother the white cat (“l’imbecile blanc”). 🙂

I am a HUGE fan of Monsieur Henri … le chat blanc et noir. I even have the book which gives me endless pleasure as do the videos. I also enjoy trying to translate the French without looking at the subtitles … and sometimes have caught a naughty word that doesn’t make the translation … a word such as merde! Made me laugh! Vive l’Henri!
