ResQte Of The Week: Dateline, Singapore!

You will NOT believe this video. This little Bebeh Batski was lost and cried for help. Watch Mama swoop in to the rescue! Quoting the video, “The baby bat was found lost and stranded almost two hours prior to this reunion- it was amazing to see that the parent was around the area and was so quick to pick up on her baby’s calls for help and fly around us.”

(From Nothing To Do With Arbroath. BTW- the group who helped with the rescue is ACRES: Animal Concerns Research and Education Society, based in Singapore.)

  5. Nananananananana – Bat-Mom!

  6. I’m totally ok with mother bats swooping in to save me 🙂

  7. That’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Yay, mama bat!! 🙂

  8. I am going to sound obsessed, but no comment about the CO calendar guys?

  14. Best video I’ve seen in awhile – animals are just AMAZING!!!

  15. Ok. That was the coolest thing I’ve seen today…and this includes one of my cats literally doing flips off his cat tree.

  16. Aw….that was so sweet. And a good lesson in how difficult it is to fold a baby bat.

  17. Alice Shortcake says:

djdecca – yes, it must be rather like origami!

  18. Ehhh, I’m not his mom and I was ready to swoop in after hearing him crying out.

  19. Mom Taxi tag needed! Adorable!

  20. Wow! Wonderful.

  21. This gives new meaning to the term, “helicopter parents!”

  22. BatBlaster says:

Great to see another cute bat clip get on CO. I thought they couldn’t easily take off from the ground like that though.

  23. This makes me so happy!! I know that mama can tuck them under her wing when they’re really little, but those wings were ginormous on that bebeh. I guess they can really fold them up tight, because she didn’t seem to have a problem (except for the lack of mobility. So cool. Yay for bat rescues!!
