An Easter… Tree?

Getting our holiday symbology a little scrambled, are we? What’s next, carving egg-shaped pumpkins? Exchanging St. Bunnytine’s Day cards? Needless to say, I disapprove.

  2. Nice.

  3. My favorite Easter carol has always been “O Tannenbun”.

  4. Can’t tell if it’s 7:10 or 8:10, buntime and wonder if bun will try the Easter tree? Another cutie.

Um. Why not an Easter tree? Here in Germany they’re common. If you’ve got a suitable tree or bush in front of the house, you decorate it with blown out and carefully decorated eggs. Either simply coloured eggs or eggs like these: http://www.batikeier.gmxhome.de/ or these: http://www.kratzbild.de/Handarbeit-kratzeier/galerie-eier2.html Decorations like the ones above can be used, too.

Some people also cut twigs of forsythia, cherry or apple, put them in vases, hang eggs on them and decorate their homes with them.

  6. @I_like_easter_trees: Thank you so much! I enjoyed learning that, and I apologize for my ignorance.
