Cookie Bears. Hugging Nuts.

(Let’s get this outta the way right up front- of COURSE they’re from The Big J. Now, onto more deets, as covered in Bored Panda.)

Whip up a bunch of dough, shape ’em into bears, and- the tricky part- get ’em to HOLD A NUT.

These were created by a Japanese cook named Maa Tamagosan. Her recipe is here.

  1. SO cute!

  2. Cute bear ….

  3. They are so cute! I’d actually have a hard time eating them…much like I did as a kid with marshmallow peeps at Easter! I’d have to make these and give them to people who would appreciate them but not have that hangup. 🙂

  4. My goodness! Adorable! At first I thought the arms were cashews. Those would be good, too. 🙂

  5. Magnificent. I’d go with a squirrel shape, though, because who else would so earnestly love a nut?

  6. New ideas for holiday baking.

These are great – the ones w/cashews look like they’re playing tiny saxophones!

SomeKernelsOfTruth, I have the same problem – my cute food has to be in abstract shapes so I don’t feel too guilty! 😀

Love this! I’m thinking instead of nuts depending on the size of the can hold M&Ms or other candies depending on the season

Side note…new poster long time viewer. CO is my go to on a bad day..and a good day too. Always makes gives me a lift and makes me happy. I’ve shared this site with co-workers and my boss too. My standard phrase on a tough day is…I need some pix of puppies and kittens and baby ducks (and now some nekid wombat) ..and all will be well with the world.

    Thank you CO!

  9. #Erika in HB, thank you for your kind remarks, and welcome to C.O.’s corner of the Intertubes. There’s no place else quite like it.

Is it just me, or are some of these little guys sending out a side-eye message?
