Meet Rustle The Army-Dillo

There are three things Rustle likes. He likes to eat (check,) sleep (check,) AND….he LOVES to take a bath! Who knew? (Biggest decision to make: blue tub or white tub? Or…both?)

Anna C. saw this on Care2.com.

Comments

  1. The wiggling ears!! And the butt scratching at 1.34! :-)

  2. I was recently laid off at the age of 62 so I am sad and scared. Thank you for bringing light and laughter, in the form of sweet animals like Rustle, into my life.

  3. He should be careful. I’m pretty sure those ears wiggle at speeds well past the legal limit.

Since I have only really seen them dead on the roadside (sad), I had no idea what cute little critters they truly are! The ears were great as was the butt scratching. Judging by the water, the little guy did need a bath.

  5. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You use the blue tub—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You use the white tub—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember, all I’m offering is the truth—nothing more.

Oh, and I will give you noms as well….

  6. It was the butt scratching that totally did me in. What a little sweetie pie! :)

  7. Yay! WBS made it to Cute Overload! :) If you’re ever in the St. Louis area, I totally recommend a visit! Birds of prey….an army-dillo…bats! It’s totes awesome!

  8. The white tub was the wash cycle, the blue tub, rinse.

  9. Anyone else want to just pick him up and squeeze him in and out like a concertina?

  10. @maryb, please don’t be sad. You are among friends in this lovely forum. Keep in mind that you can start collecting Social Security at 62, even if that’s not quite what you had planned. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, as I’m sure a lot of other folks here will do as well. *hugs*

  11. Armadillos are the oddest, weirdest creatures I’ve ever seen. Except maybe for octopi. But look, it has hinged armour-plating on top and fur on the bottom! Or was that long stringy stuff something else? Feathers, maybe? and they walk on tip-toe! I just can’t comprehend what I am seeing.

  12. @maryb, I’m so sorry you were laid off. What a shock that must’ve been. You’re right though, our anipals and the CO community so share the love.

I don’t know if this will be helpful, but I recently heard of a program here in the U.S. called Senior Service America, Inc. Found it while doing some research for a family member. The program provides support, and help with job search and training. Their website is: http://www.seniorserviceamerica.org/our-programs/ . Also to consider, your local senior citizen center may have some advice/suggestions when it comes to job search. I hope this can be of some help to you.

    Namaste my friend.

  13. My comment and I appear to be in the lounge. Thank you to the peeps who left the snacks and homemade goodies. I’ll make some lemonade & rice krispie squares before I leave. Before I go though, I must say this ‘dillo is sweet and his flappity earses are adorbs! :)
