Cute Overload :D
VERY closely. From DP&F.
“I can has camouflage?”
Gorgeous markings on both!
And what we has here is a demonstration of the old saying, “a chip off the old block.” R maybe a kit off the old block. Or maybe “i thought there was another kit in here somewhere. Did you happen to see him?”
Adorable :) Thank You for Sharing your Wonderful Inspirations that touch my life each day :) Happy Friday and Have a Fantastic Week End~
Little sidecar. :)
<3 two beautiful cats.
I echo what Morgan said. I can’t remember what life was like before CO and I can’t imagine life without it. Sincere thanks. <3
So sweet! <3
@morgan @rachel, I feel the same way. All credit goes to CO for getting me through tough days at work.
So, I assume that’s not parent/child, cuz almost all calicoes are infertile .. right?
Mary (the first), from wikipedia: Because genetic determination of some coat colors in cats is linked to the X chromosome, calicoes are nearly always female.Because of the genetics involved, calico males are rare, and generally have impaired vitality and are almost always sterile.
@Morgan @Rachael @TwoCity: Thank you for your gracious comments!
Kitty and her mini-me. Too cute.
I theenk this beautifully demonstrates the camouflage effect of the calico coat pattern. And also I theenk somebody’s daddy was a long haired gentleman. What a delightful demonstration of heredity in practice.
I would call this picture Tail Hug.
more like a mini-me-ow…
Oh wow. The bigger kitty is like a thinner version of my calico (rest her soul these past 8 years; I called her my fishy cuz she had those exact markings) and the baby is like a version of my other calico (patchy brown and orange, and maybe rest her soul these past 4 years… I had to surrender her, I don’t know what happened to her but I hope someone took her in as a mouser on their farm). I even have a couple pictures of them together! (That aren’t nearly as cute as this one though)
AWW :D Pretty Calico Mama cat and her Calico baby girl :D
Oh wow. Clever!
