Cute Overload :D
THAT FACE KEELS ME DED.
Watch the powerful story of Joey. Chills.
Snif… darn this allergy. Good luck to darling Joey and his human. And bless the dog groomer for such a great makeover!
I would have adopted him dirty and messy! what a sweetheart.
Hear hear, Sapphie!
sneeeEEEEEF! those eyes speak volumes. so glad that he’s in a loving home. not that we would be able to adopt another fur-baby but he was pretty durned cute before the makeover too. :)
You people have GOT to stop chopping onions in here! :)
I’m with Sapphie – I’ve adopted dogs that I didn’t think were especially cute but somehow they became beautiful practically overnight.
I agree that Joey was adorable even before the makeover but I bet he felt so much better all cleaned up! So glad he is now in his forever home!
I agree Joey was adorable before the makeover! However, many otherwise _wonderful_ humans have negative preconceptions of shelter animals, making it difficult to see their potential as pets until they are clean and/or cute-ified. That’s why volunteer groomers are so important to increased adoption rates. :-)

Reminds me of Hank the Dog (the stray the Milwaukee Brewers adopted during spring training). Every little (and big) dog needs a forever home–to be loved, cherished, and spoiled. Very happy for Joey!
I got to brush a scruffy-looking stray kitteh at Best Friends, and she ended up looking gorgeous and got adopted the next day!
The slo-mo tongue blow is adorable. Happy for that little dog!
