This…is a Piglet Squid.

Now, this Jolly Little Blorp is rarely seen, or so says The Telegraph, so get a good look while ya can. And get this: “This squid species has light producing organs to help it navigate the depths.”

(So they’re their own flashlight!!)

From KB.

  1. It has wild tentacle-hair, googlie-eyes, a bulbous nose, a smile AND it LIGHTS UP!!!???

  2. Cheryl S. says:

I don’t believe it. Look at the eyes – the smile, the swirly hair. That’s not a real animal – it’s a Pixar creation!

  3. Mary (the first) says:

Why am I suddenly thinking of Wilford Brimley? 😀

  4. Redonkulous. Completely redonkulous.

  5. Yes, Cheryl. I’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t appear in the “Finding Nemo” sequel.

  6. Are they found in the Sea of Japan? If not, they should be.

  7. tweetie says:

    I see a Christmas ornament…

  8. Why is Richard Attenborough standing over my shoulder while going on and on about celaphods and the big deep?

  9. Smartypants says:

    I think I saw this on ‘Spongebob’…

  10. Jenny Islander says:

@ Tag Team: You forgot “Blorp.”

  11. Jenny Islander says:

    n/m, saw it.

  12. DaChickenLady says:

I remember seeing him here before. 🙂 Still adorable.

  13. Are we sure some drunk guy didn’t draw this on his napkin at a bar?
