Mom Taxi XXV: It’s An Orang Thang

When the streets of Gunung Leuser National Park are too crowded, just take the air route! Quicker with less hassle!

“Here are some pictures of an Orangutan mother and her baby in Gunung Leuser National Park, Indonesia. The mother did not really bother to interact, but it looks like her baby is a little rebel! Shots by Nick Heibrink and me, Ditha Apsari.”

  1. Rachael says:

I must’ve been an orangutan in a previous life because I feel such an incredibly strong connection to them. :)

And I can’t even begin to express how adorable that bebbeh is. He definitely has “naughty” written all over that sweet face. :)

  2. Awww I wanna squeeeeese that bebbeh..when mommy not around

  3. This warms my heart. Please speak out against palm oil, whose production is devastating the orangutan habitat. Download ‘Palm Oil Scan’ and avoid products with palm oil (e.g. peanut butter, Nutella). These are beautiful animals deserving of our respect and protection.
