Cat Video Festival Today In Oakland!

What could be a better way to spend a beautiful Caturday (Well, if you’re in the SF Bay Area I suppose) than checking out OakCatVidFest, later today from 3pm-10pm.

They’ll be showing the Walker Arts Center’s Internet Cat reel on the Great Wall of Oakland, at West Grand Avenue between Telegraph and Broadway. The movie starts at 8:30p. Proceeds benefit the East Bay SPCA. There will be kittehs for adoption, too!

More deets here, plus Facebook and Twitter.

  1. That was fabulous. Should I be worried that a) the first two people interviewed were wearing t-shirts I also have? and b) I’d seen almost all the videos in the clip and knew others by name when people identified their faves and c) I have NOT seen the cat with the golf club vid?

Lucky Oaklanders. Kansas doesn’t have anything that cool.

Awesome. It would be so great to enjoy all those cat videos in the compamy of other cat lovers who also get IT. I never knew I was mispronouncing Maru – with emphasis on the second syllable. I may have to plan a trip to the next Cat Video Festival!

  3. AWW 😀 I would just LOVE to go to the next Cat Video Festival 😀

  4. First, is he not the cutest! Second, you HAVE to let us know when this is scheduled for next year so we can get flights and hotels!!

  5. Ok, I want to organise one of these in the UK!

  6. Oh, one day, ONE DAY! I´ll get to go there. 🙂

  7. The Japanese vid of kittens in rice bowls (at the end, every uncovered bowl ends up with a kitten) is the best ever, followed closely by Surprise Kitty.
    Love them all!
