Welcome 2 Wally World

People, check out Wally. No ‘Shopping here- that really IS how big he is.

Wally is a Flemish Giant Rabbit who will be up for adoption sometime soon at the Oregon Humane Society! Dave L. of the OHS told C.O. that no date for adoption has yet been set. The video says Wally is 13 pounds, and OHS confirms that is the right weight.

Here’s a bigger version of the photo they used:

Thanks to Kelly S.

  1. I think I saw him in Rise of the Guardians .. He’s a BIG wabbit

  2. sabrina rose says:

Lookit those feeties! A Thumper for sure! What a wonderful pet for the right family (hope they have a big carrot patch)!!

  3. HOLY MOLY! I think I’d be afraid of him! I’ve thought about getting rabbits some day, but I think I’ll start a little smaller . . . .

  4. Wow, wonder how much he weighs. I’m guessing twenty-plus pounds.

  5. The video says 13lbs, I don’t know about that, 13 kilos (28.6 lbs.) I would believe

  6. Q: What do you feed a Flemish Giant Rabbit?

    A: Anything it wants!

  7. I had a cat that was 26lbs and that bunny’s bigger than my cat!

  8. 6rabbits says:

Actually, I’ve seen bigger…And according to a quick google search, 13# is the minimum weight for a male, and they can reach 20!
@Juno: quote from rabbitmatters.com “their 2 nicknames are ‘Gentle giant’ which speaks for its character and temperament while the other nickname; ‘Universal rabbit’ comes from its multipurpose of pet rabbit, show rabbit, breeding and meat/fur uses.” I’m gonna pretend I didn’t read that last part 😦

  9. petless in Puddletown says:

Ancient History Quiz: Who has seen the classic 1972 ‘horror’ film “Night of the Lepus”?? In which “giant mutant rabbits terrorize the Southwest”?? That’s about my speed for horror flicks, until I saw this guy… (gulp!)

  10. warm-n-fuzzy says:

He looks like the rabbit Alice followed down the rabbit hole. Just missing the pocket watch and morning jacket.

There was a Flemish giant at the shelter where I volunteered, and he also was huge. I remember being mesmerized by his size. Biggest bunny I’d ever seen.

  11. Norbertsmom says:

Oh those feet! I loff them!

  12. No Monty Python “killer rabbit” jokes? I’m disappointed in you all!

  13. Oh yes – I have a friend who has the “runt” from a litter of Flemmies. He’s only 13 lbs. They are big squooshy cuddlebuns.
