Looks Like We Got a Sprawler

From Jennifer S., “We got my fiance’s parents two cats for Christmas (with their agreement, no surprises!) We found 4 year old Tiger and Lady at the Great Plains SPCA. After looking and looking, one ginger kitty jumped right up in my father-in-law’s lap and went to sleep. As you can see, Tiger has managed to settle right in. He sits in my father-in-law’s lap when he gets a chance and sprawls himself in any chair he can find if no lap is available.”

“Every picture we get from them shows him relaxing in a more and more ridiculous pose. I hope you get as many laughs from this silly guy as we do.” -Jennifer S.

  1. He certainly looks relaxed and contented…a happy camper!

  2. SO much joy here. All rescues are important and wonderful, but always even extra special when you see not only kittens adopted. ALSO the thoughtful mention of there being no surprises here, wonderful, responsible, caring folks all around here! I think these Tiger & Lady probably have the run of the place 🙂

  3. I ❤ Marmies like crazy! Hand to dog, they are the sweetest, most mellow felines I have had the pleasure to meet.

  4. Cambridge Rat Mom says:

Kudos for adopting; double kudos for adopting two. This one appears to have made the transition to the furever home without too much trouble.

  5. I loff the “zipper” on his chest!

  6. PS. I wouldn’t mind seeing the rest of the collection of Tiger’s Crazy Sleeping Positions.

  7. Yes!!!! I think we need a series!!!

  8. Jennifer S says:

Sadly, most of the really funny pictures are somewhat blurry (too much so for CO). We’ll have to get them a better camera next year.

  9. I agree–it’s just awesome in every way!

Jennifer, is Lady settling in as well? It takes some kittehs longer than others, but hopefully she’s feeling at home.

  10. Indeed! Maybe a coffee table book to hold us over while we’re waiting for NTMTOM’s to be released?

  11. Completely agree! Perhaps Jennifer S. will keep sending them in. (hint, hint Oh, Jennifer!)
And yes, that zipper is rather gorg. I wonder if he always displays it whilst sleeping?

  12. Jennifer S says:

Lady is settling in as well. My mother in law says she is more prim so no crazy pictures of her. She and Tiger weren’t acquainted prior to being adopted but are doing well together and even sleeping next to each other. Everyone is eating, using litter boxes and scratching only on the scratching posts.

We were so happy when they said that yes, a cat would be good and even happier when we found two they liked – because many cats like pals. I’m happy I have fur buddies to love when we go stay with them now.

If we get more crazy poses that are of high enough quality, we’ll send them in.

  13. You do worry about cats who can’t settle in and relax in their new homes. This one is just riddled with anxiety, isn’t he?

  14. A melted Marmie has no bones.

  15. awww, I love him so much

  16. I love that he has a flag of “Peace” waving above him. Yes, this is the definition of it!

  17. Oh how tragic…poor Tiger has no bones! (Hehe…love this picture; what a funny kitty!)

  18. I really needed an uplifting story this morning. Thank you so much, Jennifer S.! Reading about this little guy who made himself right at home with your awesome in-laws just makes my heart so full. Awesome picture!

  19. “Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.”
    ― James Herriot

  20. I sure hope there’s a fire going in that fireplace. I wouldn’t want Tiger to be any less than 100% comfortable!

  21. Aren’t they the best! I’ve posted here before about my dream of having an all-marmie rescue cat cafe . . . .

  22. Yay–thanks for the happy report! We’ll hope that Tiger poses again soon.

  23. 😆 4 year old Tiger looks so comfortable, Jennifer S. 😆 I hope he and Lady live live long and happy lives in their loving forever home with your fiance’s parents 😀

  24. Dog Lover says:

I’m not sure I’ve ever been that comfortable in my entire life. 🙂

What a great gift for the happy hoomins and the lucky kitties. Totally win win.

  25. Clairdelune says:

Tiger the Flasher…:-D He reminded me of how much I love marmies.

  26. We don’t need no steenkin’ modesty tails!
