For Phoebe

“I saw this on Reddit and immediately thought of you guys over @ C.O.” -From Cuteporter Kristoffer J.

  1. This is so heartwarming!

  2. Lucy's Mommeh says:

Awwww..our dog Coco LOVED tennis balls. Once, she had managed to misplace or lose all of them & she actually went into a funk over it. Dad had to go & purchase a tin of tennis balls for her. She was so deliriously happy about that!

  3. Oh my, I think I got a piece of that beach’s sand in my eye. What a thoughtful, loving tribute.

  4. How very loving and sweet of Phoebe’s family. *Sniffle*

  5. How sweet! Can you imagine what an awesome doggie Phoebe was, to inspire that kind of tribute? (sniffle)

  6. Either that or somebody’s chopping onions awfully early in the morning. RIP, sweet Phoebe.

  7. Dammit who is chopping onions in this place

  8. Annnnnd weeping at my desk. God…my boss is going to think I’m nuts…again.

  9. Yeah, that sand is blowing into my eyes too…

  10. Excuse me, it appears to be raining on my face…

  11. Cambridge Rat Mom says:

    Good girl, Phoebe.

  12. Someone is chopping onions in my house too…..

    So sweet and beautiful.

  13. autumnsong says:

I’ve seen this post on Facebook a few times while at work. Thankfully it came with a kleenex warning. Now that I’m safely at home I allowed myself to enjoy/be tortured by the sweetness. I hate crying at work.

  14. Barooooo

  15. SO sweet. And yeah, some sand must have gotten into my eyes, too. Hugs to Phoebe’s hoomins for their profound loss, and for honoring her with such a sweet and fitting tribute.

  16. Perfect.

  17. What CandiO said. Boy, that sand is really blowing around…

  18. Makes me cry!

  19. Mike (but not those Mikes) says:

    Gosh, it’s a little dusty in here…

  20. phred's mom says:

    My Phred’s phavorites were
tennis balls . . . and old wool
    socks. Bless him.

  21. I’ve been reading CO for years and this is the first time I’ve teared up over a photo.

  22. Mary (the first) says:

Have you ever met a dog that wasn’t awesome?

  23. Mary (the first) says:

    Welcome …

  24. The true meaning of the holiday – giving and remembering those we love whether they are present with us or have passed on. Beautiful.

  25. What a wonderful life Phoebe must have had. Lucky dog and lucky family to have been blessed with her.

  26. ***SOB***

  27. Awww, what a sweet thing for Pheobe’s family to do!

  28. Cute or Sad

It’s cute in thinking of those pups joyfully chasing balls but sad because we miss Phoebe. And I never knew her.

  29. Stupid Html coding…

  30. Dixie's Mom says:

    mystery onions over here, too….
