I’ll Be On My Way Then

Seems like we’ve just begun…

When suddenly we’re through.

“My husband Shane saw this little bird a bit de-oriented by the strong winds and hit a window (not hard though!). Shane picked him up and the bird was a little knocked out so he just wanted to hang out on his hand for a bit. After a little while he finally just flew away.” -Lucie H.

  1. Lucy's Mommeh says:

Aw, cute little feller. Thanks for being a good hooman. Is it a wren of some sort?

  2. Katherine says:

D’AWWWWW!!! Cyoot birdeh. Did you give him something for his headache?

  3. Dog Lover says:

Lucie H, you have a lovely hubby. What a sweet guy to show such kindness to one so tiny.

  4. First pic is like how I look in the morning getting out of bed.

  5. If this is somewhere in the USA, it might be a female Common Yellowthroat (a species of wood-warbler) going by the plain face, lack of wing-bars, and the general size, shape and color.

  6. Lucy H., your hubby, he’s a keeper – it takes a strong man to show such gentle concern for a small bird.

Then again, NO ONE is immune to the power of Teh Qte!

  7. 260Oakley says:

    Mornings can be ruff.

  8. claire silvers says:

looks like a 1st year common yellowthroat (tho I think the word “common” should be cut out of all bird names)

  9. Not to objectify your husband or anything Lucie, but I can tell from his big gentle hands he’d be a cute man of CO.

  10. Smartypants says:

Lucky Shane! And lucky birdie! Thanks for the great pix.

  11. whatthelump says:

“Here I go with the timid little woodland creature bit again. It’s shameful, but… ehh, it’s a living!” No shame in needing a little help, cute birdie!
