Flashback Friday

Ladies, I always pass the white glove test when I use my Mr. Scrubbalot multi-surface scrubber with fresh pinecone scent. You should too.

  1. Looks more like a big hedgehog than a porcupine. Porkies don’t roll up.

  2. I was just coming to say that. Definitely some variety of hedgehog, the face and quills are wrong for a porcupine. You know, if one felt the need to venture an opinion. 🙂

  3. Definitely a hedgie. Still adorable. Love the hat.

  4. Lucy's Mommeh says:

Hm. May be the wild sort from the UK?

  5. This reminds me of growing up in the mid-60’s. All the woman in my family, at that time girls, wouldn’t get in the car without their hats, white gloves, and purses for Sunday Mas. And in each purse sat a dainty hanky, a coin for the collection plate, and the New Testament they either would use for of received for, First Communion. The woman in my family where a sun-spot of shiny black patten leather.

It’s so funny thinking about how undressed we felt without a hat or proper gloves. It just wasn’t done!

  6. Oh, and the boy? Slick-backed, suit jacket and tie wearing Dobie Gillis, each one of us.

  7. sabrina rose says:

It’s funny to remember putting a COIN into the collection plate!

  8. heh, yea

  9. SlaveToCat says:

She must be running for office. Telling us she handled a porcupine when it is really a hedgehogie thing.

  10. I’m stunned by those pearls, myself.

  11. Porcupine? I would have thought that was a hedgie. And Keeping Up Appearances reference!!!! Great 🙂

  12. Reblogged this on The Pleasantries of Princess Penelope Pricklepants and commented:
Here she’s holding a historical hedgehog.
