Who Remembers That Toy?

Hmm, what was it called? The twisty, fuzzy, magic worm with googly eyes and an invisible string that you slid through your fingers to make it look like, well, kinda like this!

“Lydia, our flying squirrel.” -Kathy G.

  1. Squirmles – but it has many clones including Mr. Fuzzy, magic fuzzy worm, etc.

  2. This SO makes me miss Rocky and Bullwinkle!

  4. Same here…that is an awesome cartoon. I loff Moose and Squirrel. 😀

Soa few months ago I bought a vintage Spirograph game (had to get special pens for it) and played with it. Just as much, if not more, pointless fun that I remember!

  5. Loved those. I actually bought one a few years ago when I found them in a store – just for nostalgia’s sake! But I’d much rather have a little flying squirrel. Awww

  6. aw thats a real squirrel tho!! #Cute!

  7. Oh, I thought it was a sugar glider.

D’aww, just d’aww. Lookit its little footsie peeking out from its flappity flaps and its amazing tail…

I just looked stuff up, and apparently sugar gliders are gliding possums, with certain stripey patterns (that probably depends on the species). Interesting!

  10. You took the words right out of my mouf. 🙂

  11. B.E.F.!!! Love the eyeliner.

  12. Squamatophile says:

You can own a flying skwerl?

  13. At least in Wisconsin you can own them…Lydia is an awesome pet. She climbs all over me while I fix her dinner (they are nocturnal). I put her up on our parrot stand (or the top of a door) and she jumps to me. She is fun! She’s a rodent, sugar gliders are marsupials..and this cute picture was taken by Sea J Photography in Sussex, WI.
