Biding (biting?) His Time…

I only want a sneeeef. I promise. I give you my word, as a cat.

“Hello! I’m a huge fan of CO! This is Sandy (also known as Sandybear). We received an orchid as a housewarming gift and Sandybear loved it, as evidenced in the photo. Photo credit goes to my boyfriend, Alex J. (He loves taking pictures of his kitty cat!).” -Pisei.

::Note: Many houseplants are not compatible for cat nomming::

  1. Do we know if the orchid survived after this “innocent sneeeef”? Sandy is beautiful.

  2. This picture is absolutely beautiful. Just stunning. It should be entered into a photo contest. Great quality, beautiful cat, thriving orchids, just beautiful.

  3. I keep spider plants specifically for my cats, they love chomping them down.

  4. “I give you my word, as a cat.” Bwah haaahaa ha *snort* haa ha…[in a helpless puddle of snort laffs]

  5. Gotta agree with 6rabbits! I loves me some kitties but am always a bit wary about their motives! :) That being said….beautiful picture! Sandy is so pretty!

  6. I should’ve known better than to think it could be toxic with such a sweet photo submitted, but had to check. It’s safe :) My cat ate a lily once… NOT SAFE! She’s fine now, but had to endure 2 days of kidney-flushing fluids at the vet. Thank goodness for pet insurance!

  7. My cat would have one eye open to make sure I was watching before CHOMP!

  8. We need to see the next picture of kitteh batting plant off of table.. :D

Sandy is so beautiful… looks just like my beloved kitty who is now enjoying the Big Rainbow Litter Box in the sky… *sneeeeffle*

What a beautiful kitteh – and great pic!

A few years ago I was pet-sitting my neighbor’s tiger cat at my place, and couldn’t figure out what the yellow powder was all over his face…turned out he’d been checking out the Amaryllis! (just sniffing, not nomming, but thanks for the safety warning).

  12. Yes.

  13. or trying to climb onto the pot to pee in it…

  14. Martha in Washington says:

My cat said the same thing before completely devouring an orchid I got for my birthday! I have a bamboo-ish kind of plant that she munches on almost daily now.

  15. One blissed out puss!

  16. Maybe there’s fish mulch in the potting soil………

  17. If the bamboo is the lucky bamboo type that’s so common, be careful…that’s part of the lily family (poisonous).

  18. AWW  I am so sorry to hear that, Clairdelune

  19. I second that :D
