THIS JUST IN: Stop What You’re Doing…

…and watch this. With some Kleenex.

Details here. Thanks to Cuteporter Andy F.

  1. More proof that firefighters rock! Thank you to all of the brave men and women who risk their lives to save others, even tiny furry lives. Such a relief to see those tiny paws start to twitch and then hear the little meow…

  2. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, so cute! Poor kitties an orphan now? What had happened to the house and the kitten? Where are the people?!?!?!!?!

  3. I gasped when I saw the poor kitty just lying there. I thought the little guy was dead. I cheered when the kitten started to move and mew. What an amazing video.

  4. Aww no 😦 still, what an amazing rescue effort… firefighters have so much of my respect and admiration for what they do.

  5. So very sad to hear about the kitten…but Firefighters are amazing individuals!!!

  6. Very sad to hear the little one didnt make it through, that video is just incredible to watch ❤

  7. Poor baby, I’m in tears. But I’m still grateful it had a chance thanks to the fireman, and the medical team at the vets. What awesome people!

  8. Curse you GoPro and your tear creation device !

I’m not allowed to cry at work, and you made me do it !!

  9. Mary (the first) says:

Well, I was kind of ok until the firefighter picked him up to cuddle on the crook of his arm.. snf. ..

  10. I’m so struck by this story, and I found an article that pictures our wonderful rescuer. I recommend him for the Men of CO calendar, whenever we get one.

  11. Alice Shortcake says:

Well, they did their best…and I’m sure that lots of other pets DO make it through in similar circumstances.

    *wipes mascara off face*

  12. i_wuvs_puttins says:

I heard the tiny kitteh didn’t make it…kudos and much love to our brave firefighters who risk their lives to save the tiniest of our animal friends.

  13. What Shari said!

  14. Not for a lack of caring. So glad that these guys bothered to care for a sweet little kitten.

  15. I am sad to hear that kitty didn’t survive overnight.
But God Bless Firefighters and their bravery…

  16. phred's mom says:

    Another Man of CO!
    Bless him.

  17. My husband was a firefighter for over 40 years and said things like this were what made it all worthwhile. Firefighters have hearts of gold. Too bad the kitty didn’t survive.

  18. Awwww man… who cut the onions? Such a sweet story despite the sad ending. 😦 Bless that firefighter for trying, though.

  19. I’m heartbroken that the kitteh didn’t survive. Not for lack of trying or caring but it is still devastating. I’m just glad he didn’t die alone on that floor with nobody to hold him.

  20. I watched the video first before I read the all comments..

    Kitteh didn’t make it…. RIP…

But still kudos to all the kindhearted souls who were there to save it!

  21. We have enough “Men of CO” candidates to either, print calendars until the new millennium, or publish a coffee table book or two! Those of us still waitin’ for all the proposed CO books iz gettin’ mighty perturbed, I reckon!

  22. No clue why I’m in the mod lounge. Where did y’all hide the cocoa and cookies?

  23. Yes, glad for that as well.

  24. You had me at the comforting cuddle!!!

  25. Damnit. I didn´t have any Kleenex. I´m a right mess now!!!! Oh squeeeeeeeeee/sniffle.

  26. SO sad :-((

  27. AWW 😥
