Oh Sure, See This All The Time

Say you find yourself smack in the middle of Tirau, NZ, “a small town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand” according to Wikipedia. What are ya gonna do to pass the time? Maybe- check out these Sheep & Sheep Doggeh buildings. Whythehecknot.

These were built in the mid to late 1990’s. The Doggeh building is the Tirau i-SITE Visitor Centre.

They’re at 40 Main Road, Tirau.

It seems the Dog building was originally meant to house the Public Toilets. Gives a whole new meaning to the term “going to the dogs.”

  2. Oh my – dogs, sheep and buildings oh my! snorts. They do look totally awesome! But personally, I think they need to ad a pig building 🙂 XOXO – Bacon

  3. I’ve been there! The dog head does hold the rest rooms and there is a small shop in the dog as well. Awesome to see it again! As a matter of fact, those look like my pictures! LOL I’m sure lots of tourists have those same pics. 🙂

  4. I wanna live in a sheep house!

  5. Oh my! This is from my part of the world! Little ol’ NZ. Glad we could share our cute. BTW, Hobbiton isn’t far from this spot either. We like to keep our cute confined to one part of the country, otherwise we’d get no work done.
