Over the River, and Through the Woods?

Look, I like Grandmother as much as the rest of you, but do we really have to wait until we get to her house?

“This is a photo of my friend Ginny’s fur baby, going for a ride and looking very hungry,” says Jenn K.

  4. I can almost see the nose twitching! :-)

  5. Oh, wow. That’s not a good situation!

  6. How long until you noticed the second pup being much better behaved?

  7. Oh! Not until you mentioned him…I was distracted by pie!

  8. I didn’t see him either!

  11. Okay, the cook in me wants to know… what is that dish on the silpat, with the edges of the crust turned over it, and where can I find the recipe? It looks delish.

  12. it’s a galette of some sort. and it’s leaked, so it’s probably fruit. looks like maybe plums. the supervising pupster should taste it and let us know.

  13. Yes, that’s a plum galette and tarte tartins in the other pans, and they all arrived safely.

  14. 4leafclover says:

I would say that is a fruit crostata.

  15. I only saw the Goldie at first – and the good food. Does anybody know how long it took for the inevitable?

  16. I say “yum”

  21. Poor doggehs should compare notes with Stains regarding evil hoomins who taunt them with food….

Those baked goods look delish. I would have nommed them right away.

  22. Yum! Tarte tatins and fruit galette! AND nommable Golden ears!

Actually, Oakley, tarte tatins are not that difficult to make, and they impress the heck out of people when you show up with one for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner

  23. I went and did some research, and decided to share these that I found with the good people here:

  24. Yeah, I’m currently supervising a golden lab who would definitely not be so good in the face of yummy baked goods. Somebody did a lot of training!

  25. Oh man does that plum thing look good… A slice of that with some sauce anglaise please!

  26. Smartypants says:

    Saint-Bernardhood, perhaps?
