When there’s apples being offered, Lorikeets are very patient, polite and proper.

But there’s always one who wants to get a head.

“Here are some pictures of me feeding some lorikeets with an apple on my balcony. They are all lined up, and waiting their turn patiently. One even sat on my head.” -Risha S.

  7. Merissa says:

Methinks this may be somewhere in Indonesia or Malaysia?

  8. Julianne says:

Australia! They’re everywhere and very bold critters! 😀

  9. Being by the water, I get the occasional seagull and its poo too. Yay..?

I’m guessing Australia, the homeland of rainbow lorikeets.

  13. I’ve never seen Lorikeets so quiet and well behaved when food was involved. Whenever I fed them on our balcony as a kid it was great swarms of them in a screaming jostling, wrestling match of awesome, that you just hoped to survive. I swear parrots, no matter what size have a higher noise to body mass ratio than any other animal I know.
