  8. Mamabear says:

    Waaay too long, don’t read…

Reminds me of my sons when they were bebehs/toddlers.

    Wait, whut?

You know what a “horsebite” is, yeah? OK, so I’d sing (to the tune of ‘Mack the Knife’):

    “Oh the horse has
    big yellow teeth and
    he likes to grab you
    and do the hoooorse biiite”

Then I’d give ’em a gentle horsebite

    It evolved into adding:

    “Oh the goat has
    little yellow teeth and
    he likes to grab you”
and do the goooat biiite” (gentler squeeze behind the knee)

    Then a little quieter:

    “Oh the sheep has
    little bitty teeth and
    he likes to grab you
and do the sheeeeep biiiite” (even gentler squeeze on back of calf)

    Quieter still:

    “Oh the rat has
    itty bitty teeth and
    he likes to grab you
and do the raaat biiiite” (Achilles tendon gentle pinch)

    “Oh the mouse has
    teeny tiny teeth and
    he likes to grab you
and do the mouuuse biiite” (nibble the littlest toe)

Often, I couldn’t get past the first line of “Oh the horse has…” before they would erupt into maniacal cackling. Now at ages 11 and 21 I’ll sometimes walk toward them with outstretched arms and start singing the song and it always makes ’em grin. Can’t wait to have grandbabies!

Reminiscent of “Baby Shark, doo doo doo-doo-doo-doo”

  13. Theresa says:

Or alternately, of “Oh it lives in the reef and has big pointy teef,
    That’s a moray!
When you go swimming by, it bites into your thigh,
    That’s a moray!”

  14. Leilani says:

Ewwwwww. The King NEVER had teef like that!
