And It’s Called a “Pineapple,” You Say?

Looks kind of unwieldy, don’t it? I mean, it’s too large to fit in a pocket, but even if it did, you’ve got all these pointy things to deal with. Good luck with it, don’t get me wrong here, but I don’t think it’ll catch on with the youth market.

  6. petless in Puddletown says:

And why are they called “pineapples”, anyway? ‘Tis neither pine, nor apple… should have a nice Hawaiian name, like komonawannapokeya.

  7. Well, they do look a little like pinecones.

  8. kookiemaster says:

I had always wondered this. Apparently way back when, “apples” were used to call many sorts of fruits or reproductive organs of trees. And a pineapple (I figure especially when young) looked like the fruit of a pine. So pine fruit or pine apple.

  9. doomchild says:

Wow. The first time I’ve ever seen a pineapple ashamed… And now i feel sorry for it :/ it’s not easy being evaluated by a cat.

Oh my, in to the Mod Lounge we go. Let’s see if the tea is still hot… And mabbe a biscuit on the side, too…

  11. maxtben1 says:

Doomchild, I thought you were being particularly witty, but I see how you’ve unabashedly bandied about the “c” word. That’s what landed you in the modlounge. How were the biscuits?

  12. If you remove the spikey thingy on the top and throw the lower part, it goes “Kaboom!”, right?
