I Think I Can, I Think I Can, I Think I Can

Um, no I really can’t.

Sammi The Hamster from Ed D.

  1. Awww – poor little hammy.

I had one that would regularly escape his cage, and be found sitting on the floor next to the table where it was. He wanted to go walkabout so he did, but couldn’t actually figure out how to get back up. Very cute, but not very bright.

  2. We had a rat, Winston, who used to unlock his cage door and go a-wandering…with two Cairn Terriers in the house! Luckily, our puppehs paid him absolutely no attention at all. (They were too busy plotting against the big dog next door!)

  3. SlaveToCat says:

Everyone could use a little helping hand every once in a while to achieve your true height.

  4. Rachael says:

Awww, poor Sammi. I so wanted to give his little butt a boost up!

  5. Celebrity Nickname? Sammi the Hammy !!!

  6. SlaveToCat says:

    M.C. Hammy.

  7. kibblenibble says:

    It’s hard bein’ little. :-/

  8. Cute! Gotta give him props for determination 😉

  9. My urban guerilla rats would have been up that scarf in a jiffy. I’m always amazing at their climbing ability.

  10. I remember my hammies trying to do things like this… they like to climb. I remember Spike disappearing under the bookcase and appearing moments later at eye-level because he’d squeezed up the back and Special Forces-ed his way all the way up to the top.

    I miss my hammies 😦

  11. The tumble-down roll on the back, gave me a smile.

  12. poniesss says:

I was listening to Acroyali / Standing in Motion (Medley) by Yanni when I watched this video on mute. It’s an absurdly appropriate soundtrack to this hamster’s brave endeavor to go where no hamster has gone before.

  13. Theresa says:

  14. Samster!

  15. when you are as soft and cute as sammi does it matter that you aren’t a great climber?
