Every Day is Bunday for Jake

Oh wait. Jake would like to clarify that. Every day is not just Bunday, every day is Snugglebunday.

“Thought you might like a photo of Jake snuggling his best bunny pal.”, Éadaoin C.

  1. Awww, how sweet is that?! I think the bunneh is wearing a dress. 🙂

  2. Michelle says:

This headline killed me. I had my cat, Jake, for 17 years and just had him put down last week. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Today is the first time I’ve looked at Cute Overload since.

  3. emmberrann says:

I am so sorry for your loss. Please. Know that you absolutely did the right thing-for the comfort and dignity of your beloved furry friend. Having been “owned” by my late-and-much-beloved cat for more than 18 yesrs (adopted as an sdult), you did well to have sustained the quality of his life so wonderfully for such a long time. You will find much comfort here, as I did and still do. CO people will enfold you in your sorrow, ss I do, in hugs, because we have been there.. My deepest condolences.

  4. I’m so sorry.

  5. So sorry, Michelle. It’s always hard to make that decision, and it’s harder still to live without a beloved anipal. Things will get better. Be good to yourself as you’re grieving.

  6. 260Oakley says:

So sorry to hear this, Michelle. I’m sure you gave your Jake 17 wonderful years.

  7. Madame X says:

Suki, Shiraz, Luna, Chispi, Tony and Nena send you a warm, furry hug, replete with purrs and drools, in memory of your beloved Jake. You let him go when the time came, and that is a testament of how much you loved him.

  8. Oh Michelle, I am so sorry for the loss of your furbaby, Jake. You must have given him a good life for him to have lived 17 years and you did what you needed to do for him at the end. CO is really a help during difficult times.

  9. Jake is so sweet with his bunny!

  10. Thank you everyone. i am crying as i read these. I adopted Jake when he was 1 so he was actually 18 years old. Also, a diabetic for the last 9 (!) years of his life, for which I gave him 2 shots per day. I’d never been through the loss of a pet (he was more like my best friend and son) and didn’t realize how much of a hole he’d leave in my life. Thanks for your thoughts; they really are helpful.

  11. Michelle, I’m so sorry for your loss. Please be good to yourself as you mourn your sweet kitty – he had a long, wonderful life filled with love, thanks to you, and it’s understandable you feel his absence. But I hope memories of Jake, and visits to CO, can make you smile when you need it the most. We understand your love for Jake, and I hope you’ll keep us posted on how you’re doing.

  12. Aww, so sweet! I want a snuggle-Jake for myself.

  13. Snuggling warmly in the dog bed
Next to the dryer where your clothes were stolen
    And the doggy door
    That they forgot to close
    Come, come, cuddly bun

    Every day is like bunday
Every day is snuggly and gay

    (apologies to Morrissey)

  14. Sending you warm thoughts and hugs from me and my kittehs.

  16. Lots of warm thoughts and prayers heading your way. Everybody here understands exactly what you’re going through so you’re definitely in the right place. I know you gave Jake the best possible life and he’ll be waiting (probably not so patiently, being a kitteh and all 🙂 ) for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

  17. 😥 I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear sweet kitty, Jake, Michelle 😥 (BIG CYBER HUG)
