Cute Overload :D
From the “food too cute to eat” section of our recipe book come these egg and rice teddy bears. I mean, if you were sleeping, would you want to get poked by a fork?
Via Japanese on Facebook.
I’m ashamed to say I would eat them. And I would eat them the same way I do chocolate Easter bunnies: ears first.
Even if this were totally vegan I couldn’t eat anything that cute!
Those are adorable! I’ve never seen anything like that before!
Now I’m hungry and it feels so wrong.
That is a new level of charaben.
And my first thought was wow…those are amazingly perfect omelette blankies….wow. The Japanese have done it again!
No wonder the Japanese never get fat. They make their food too cute to eat!
This one is too hot! This one is too cold! This one is too sleepy! This one is eaten!
So is there going to be a recipe book? Because just going down the first dozen or so pages under the Product Cuteness tag preloads some chapter headings:
The Cream in My Coffee
Impossibly Cute Sammiches
Bento for Newbies (teach some simple techniques, like for those adorbs birds made from wedges of Denver-style omelet with some snippets of vegetable)
Bento to Drool Over (masterfully cute bento that you have to have been making bento for years with a huge drawerful of bento gear to even attempt)
Plates o’Cute (entries like this one)
I like this one a lot because if you break it down, it’s just sticky rice with soy sauce, omelet, and snippets of kombu.
Oh, I absolutely could NOT eat this!
I would ooh and aaah, and then eat them all up because omurice is delicious.
I ate an omelet this morning but it didn’t have half the personality of these guys.
