Cute Overload :D
Always happens to the little guys. Kids can be cruel.
(This little fellow is in fact a Scarlet-cheeked Fig Parrot.) From Zoobornz. Spotted by Smedley.
Who’s going to be a pretty boy, then?
Nobody will pick on him at school – not with a parrot’s beak and claws!!
Puppies usually look like they MIGHT just have a chance to develop into an actual dog (or, in some cases, a seal or a guinea pig), but this feller? A future parrot?
I thinks he hasn’t decided just yet.
Maybe he’ll become a hippo.
He’s sort of shaped like Serenity. Maybe he’ll be a Firefly.
Baby birds are not exactly the cutest babies are they?
It takes them a minute- until they get their fluff 🙂
Really- I think he is just about the cutest little bugged-eyed bugger! Love heem.
This one’s so pathetic that he’s cute by default.
Yeah this will probably be a hippo.
Am I the only one thinking this thing is not even cute, it’s quite ugly!
Just because something is small doesn’t mean it’s cute. If that was the case spiders would be cute… And we all know spiders are EVIL
Don’t feel bad little birdy, most of us feel like you look at some point in our lives. Or whenever we go to Paris or Milan on a $5 per day budget.
When you grow up you will be a beautiful Flamingo or a bold Peacock.
He would never get picked on under my watch. I think he’s oddly adorable. 🙂
those little wing nubbins are so teeny.
TEENY WEENY ITTY BITTY INFINITESIMAL Ovo
Velociraptor *shifty eyes*
Awwww, well of course he is a Scarlet-Cheeked Fig parrot, duh…
OHMAHGAH lookit heem! So itty.
If this isn’t proof that dinosaurs (d)evolved into birds, I don’t know what is. If she were 30 feet taller, she’d be a T. rex.
I must adopt that sentence into my repetoire.
He would just fit in the spoon.
Looks like it has transparent skin over it’s eyes….eyelids
didn’t develop yet huh? 0_o
I made a comment this morning but the site eated it.
The little ol’ wing nubbins is doing me in, and the spoon is bigger than his body.
Really gonna be pretty when it grows up! Now? Not so much..
Me too….totally adorably cute.
There are two basic types of baby bird – altricial vs. precocial. The former are featherless, helpless, and blind upon hatching. The latter, on the other hand, hatch with a coat of down, eyes open and legs that can walk. Parrots, like this little one, are fine examples of altricials, while ducklings are precocials.
Holy homely . . . he needs to sprout some things quickly.
