Flashback Friday

It was looong ago, before Cute Overload and interwebs and memes and Maru and OMGPonies!!!1!!1! and Boo the dog; it was the (relative) calm before the storm. . .

Fave Flashback Frame :
Brought to you today from the mists of another time via U-zoo.

  1. Soooo, you’re saying nothing has changed in 80 years.

  2. baileysgrandmom says:

LOVED the music, too! (I know, I know–I’m showing my age.)

  3. The dog getting a manicure looks so confused.

  4. OMG PON1llllEEEEZZZ!!!!

  5. He’s all like, “What did I do to deserve this? I behaved myself n’ everything, honest!”

Also, the meezers won my heart, so beautiful.

  6. I remember seeing a documentary on show cats and they say the Siamese and the Persian were in better shape 80 years ago. The Siamese were stocker build and the Persian did not have the mushed in face. I hope people will try and reverse that trend and bring those cats back to what they were before people messed with them.

  7. The little foal is hooftacular!

  8. Love the “What did I do to deserves this” look on the dogs at the beauty parlor and fashion show 😆

  9. Just goes to show some things NEVER change.

  10. OMG! We clearly have NOT evolved.

  11. Sharon Wilson says:

My favorite part was the Siamese climbing up the cage and going “MEEEOOOOWWW!” I, too think Siamese and Persians were better before they looked like aliens.

  12. I second that, Sharon Wilson!!!!!!

  13. Actually, it gets even better. I once saw an Edison film from early 1897– it was probably one of the first 100 movies ever made anywhere, by anyone, for any purpose.

    Guess what it was.

    Oh, come on, guess.

A little girl and her cat. Doing tricks.

Yep, that’s right, y’all: the history of film itself IS a history of the cat film.

If I ever find it again/remember the name, I’ll have to post it. 🙂
