THIS JUST IN: Eet’s A Bebeh Grilla, People

The Cincinnati Zoo has itself a new resident, a five week old bebeh female grilla named Gladys Stones, that was born at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas. (Her name is a combo of the facility name, and the last name of the family that cared for her prior to leaving for the Queen City.)

Gladys, make sure to have some Skyline Chili! (Ooo, and Graeter’s, too.)

  1. Most redonk “I love you, Mom” eyes ever in that fave frame. And of course, only complete with Don King hair.

  2. That face is deadly cute. I almost wanted one! And then I remembered they grow and up and get huuuuuge.

  3. The Original Jane says:

Gladys Stones would be a great name for a soul/R&B singer!

  4. So small and so precious!

  5. First thing I thought of. Just add Pips and stir.

  6. SlaveToCat says:

Every time I’m in Cinci it’s a couple of lunches at Skyline Chili and 3-4 pints of Graters. I’m gonna have to take Gladys to La Rossa’s for pizza. Come on Gladys can you spell ORBITZ for me.

  7. The Original Jane says:

Don’t forget Sly and the Family Stone. She’s got two famous names!

  8. Lewis n' Clark says:

oh, you HAVE to watch the baby gorilla taking a bath – priceless!

  9. I lived in Columbus OH for 10 years and Graeter’s ice cream is the epitome of local premium ice cream. Little Gladys needs one of their ice cream cakes to celebrate her arrival in Ohio.

  10. I know! That gaze…

  11. Jeni’s!!! What about Jeni’s???

  12. *puddle*

  13. I can haz link KTHXBYE? 🙂

  14. Exactly. The trust in those eyes…I, too, am a puddle. The Don King hair is just the frosting on the cake, so to speak!

  15. Awwwwwwwwww. So cute and precious. It’s a shame that her momma won’t take care of her, but of course she’ll get great care from her hooman moms 🙂

  16. Dang it, Theresa, you’re right! TWO ice cream cakes then!

  17. Sharon Wilson says:

So, is that a baby gorilla in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? 🙂

  18. She is amazing and I already love her with all my heart, just by seeing this video

  19. Yay Cincinnati pride!! The zoo here just lost one of the adult gorillas last October, so it is wonderful to have this little addition. I can’t wait to go see her =)
