You are smooth
and soft

and floating
on the water.

Perfect for my
nap.

As soon as I saw this , the words “The Circle of Life” popped into my brain. How can anyone look at this beautiful sleeping creature and not feel kinship and KNOW that we all belong to the same Mother Earth and are part of the same circle of life…

    Ode to My Log:

    I shall hug him, and
Pet him, and squeeze him, and rub
    Him, and name him George.

Got the whole “sawing logs” thing confused with sleeping on logs. :)

Tell me, dear CO’ers, have you ever Kippled?
“Where billow meets billow, there soft be thy pillow,
Ah, weary wee flipperling, curl at thy ease!
The storm shall not wake thee, nor shark overtake thee,
Asleep in the arms of the slow-swinging seas!
    – Seal Lullaby

    Pooped pinniped pup
    Parked on shiny pine pillow;
    Both barks all played out.
