Do You Know The Way To Monterey?

OK, so that’s not the way Burt Bacharach wrote it. But the Monterey Bay Aquarium does offer some of the finest sea life anywhere in the USA. In the neighborhood? Check eet out.

  1. Beautiful!

I really like the part with the people in silhouette against the blue water. That was just a really cool shot. 🙂

  2. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is indeed awesome – my favorite of those I’ve visited. You can pet the rays who swim right up to you. Redonkulously cute!

  3. Coffee Cup (now with more bunnies) says:

Monterey Bay aquarium is one of my favorite places. Every time I have ever been to San Francisco I have made the trip there, even going out of my way to drive to Monterey. It’s one of the greatest aquariums in the country.

  4. SoccerSue says:

Hmm..I’ll be in San Francisco in September. *puts Monterey Bay Aquarium on list of places to visit*

Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is tres cool as well, if you’re ever in the area.

  5. Lewis n' Clark says:

it’s an awesome place. This video didn’t do it justice; found the human annoying.

  6. I’ve been to the aquariums at Camden and Baltimore but not in years. I’ll have to try to plan a trip. Closer to home, I have the small aquarium at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Pt. Pleasant, NJ (though I haven’t been there in several years, either). There’s not a ton to see there but last time I was there they had an albino alligator. 🙂 And there’s penguins.

  7. I live in Dallas, and the World Aquarium & Zoological Garden is my own little bit of heaven on earth.

  8. Not just me then…

  9. I wanted to like it and it has some good shots, but the jerkiness and so many quick cuts gave me a headache and I couldn’t watch it.

  10. (scared to mention outside of parenthesis….Pt Pl/ NJ is PRECISELY where Tha Storm hit which among other things…..resulted in the framework of a rollercoaster ride being in Tha Soup ….So J’s Boardwalk might be part of what was walloped there via Sandy ….)

  11. *shivers*, not with antici-(say it) pation. (Yikes)

Concept is cool but I am both unworthy and am wimpy!!!

  12. The ones for petting in the tank are smaller – not those 30 ft wingspan rays you see on Discovery Channel. They are surprisingly smooth and soft – not really squishy feeling. And of course, they all have that goofy smile on the underside. Tres squee-worthy!

  13. Sorry, cut it off too with the, Blair Witch POV, short attention span, spastic camera work, tryin’ to be cutesy chick and “is this just a commercial?”, ehhh…Next!

  14. ThEy are so awesome i make a point of petting them every time i go and the otter exhibits are amazing they have sea and land otters. And that giant blue tank is so very cool and the sea bird exhibit and and… Can you tell i love the Aquarium LOL!

  15. there is a smaller but cool Aquarium in San Francisco also down by the wharf. with a lovely fish tunnel that rocks.. And don’t miss a chance to do the Science Museum. If you have time. also do go down Lombard the crookedest street. It is very fun.

  16. I think the video was maybe part of an engagement or wedding thing. Hence all the shots of the girl kissing at the camera.
