What a furry rolli-polli-kins! I’m throwing in “Kodi” if a boy, “Buffi” if a girl.

  4. lisaLASSIE says:

How about and extremly unusual, creative and imaginative name for this delightful pup to celebrate our lovely new category? Here it is: Dot.

  5. lisaLASSIE says:

OH yeah: Mister Dot if it’s a boy pup.

  6. Linda H says:

    Gracie, Sierra, Mishka

  7. 260Oakley says:

The voice of the Peeps has finally been heard! Let the Dot Calm revolution commence.

  8. Kaya says:

If it’s a boy, Kip. If it’s a girl, Dotty.

  9. Guapo, for a very handsome puppeh. Guapa if it’s a girl.

  10. jnyjny says:

I’d just like to mention that “Dot” in Esperanto is “Skalara.” You know, for that Continental flavor. Of course, In Siberia (Russian), the word for “Dot,” as a noun, is “точка.” Pronounced “doych-ka.”

(I loves me some google translate)

  11. Gigi says:

In honnor of this week being the 200th year anniversary of the publishing of Pride and Prejudice : Mister Darcy if it’s a boy and Lizzie or Pemberly if it’s a girl.

  12. emmmjama says:

Names should be reflective of one’s personality, so in choosing a name, one should really spend some time with the ummm unnamed one. Soooooooooo, I hereby volunteer my soivices. Send him?/her? to me and I’ll be glad to cuddle, coddle, play, walk, and share my chicken dinner with hubba hubba Husk in an effort to discern a fitting name.
Aaah, the sacrifices I’m willing to make for the greater common good! *sigh*

  13. Laura says:

I’m guessing it’s a boy since it’s a ‘hubba-hubba’ husky. How about James – as in James Bond – played by Sean Connery who has very sexy eyebrows.

  14. Jemmi says:

    Boy: Fisher
Girl: Dorothy, or Dot for short.

  15. T.U.M. says:

    President James K. Polkadots

  16. Boy or girl? I can’t tell.

Still – Wilfred if a boy, Winifred if a girl.

  17. skippymom says:

    Hey, CEEJOE!!! Guess what??!!

  18. warrior rabbit says:

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for eyebrow dots! W00t! W00t!

Also, those aren’t mere dots — those are old man eyebrow explosions a la Ernest Borgnine, Wilford Brimley, or Andy Rooney. And I think either of those names would work great, or maybe Groucho, or Marx, or…

  19. warrior rabbit says:

Where’s Fird with the pompoms and glitter?! Come on, woman! Get a move on — there’s celebratin’ to be done!

  20. tracylee says:
  21. Hellion says:

Hap — short for Happy, of course!

  22. warrior rabbit says:

    Yay!

  23. fleurdamour says:

    DOT or TOD

  24. Angel says:

With the Eyebrow Dots tag here, can NOMTOM’s coffee table book be far behind? P.S. Many thanx to Fird for pompom-shaking, sign-making, and other not-so-subtle persuasions. It brought the CO overlords TO THEIR KNEES!

  25. Alice says:

    Otis! So adorable :)

  26. Emmylee says:

BEST DAY EVAH!!!….yay for the eyebrow dot tag :)
How about Hutch? as in Starsky and Hutch??

  27. april says:

    name him kodiac

  28. he looks a bit like Walter Matthau, so Walter? Or maybe Saul…or Shecky…a nice Jewish grandpa name :D He’s tiny but looks wise

  29. skippymom says:

Hey guys, quick threadjack? I don’t know how many of you know Oliver Donovan, but he’s in the hospital and pretty sick. All his friends are praying and sending good wishes, and any you could send would be great. If you don’t know him you can check him out on Facebook.
Somebody did mention this yesterday–was it you, warrior rabbit?

  30. Peter says:

Since his coat his kinda cloudy looking, I would suggest something like Nimbus or Stratus. Possibly Cirrus.

  31. kitkatCC says:

    Keiko

  32. mindadale says:

I think he looks like a Franklin (Frank).

  33. sarah says:

    Boris

  34. ffleur says:

So I checked out Husky dogs on Wikipedia and found some interesting information that may provide name choices:

Leonhard Seppala, the foremost breeder of Siberian Huskies of the time…

On February 3, 1925, Gunnar Kaasen was first in the 1925 serum run to Nome to deliver diphtheria serum from Nenana, over 600 miles to Nome. This was a group effort by several sled-dog teams and mushers, with most of the run covered by Leonhard Seppala. The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race commemorates this famous delivery. The event is also loosely depicted in the 1995 animated film Balto, as the name of Gunnar Kaasen’s lead dog in his sled team was Balto.

Name suggestions: Leon, Seppa, Gunnar, Nome, Balto.

Or just going ahead and name this cutie STEVE.

  35. Carol says:

I don’t know why but I just thought D Dover.

  36. Molly K. says:

    Jafar!

  37. Marina C. says:

He looks like Kobuk to me. My cat, Naughty Jack, agrees.

  38. Emmberrann says:

    Talkeetna, name of Alaskan place
    Juneau, Alaska’s capital
    ED (Eyebrow DOTS!)
    Mack (short for Mt. McKinley)
Herbert (I just like Herbert as a name for a dog….)
Bebop (favorite form of jazz, and this is a jazzy pupster)

  39. Coffee Cup says:

Marscapone, because i’ve always wanted to name a dog Marscapone. You could nickname him Pony for short. He’s going to get to be a biiiiiig dog, so Pony might actually be apt :)

    • Mary (the first) says:

Not to be picky but it’s mas-car-pone which is not quite the same as mars-capone. I only say this because I had one word backward in my brain forever and luckily never said it out loud to anyone before discovering my mistake. (“Halcyon” .. I would have said hal-e-kon which would have been so embarrassing…as I had the c and y traded. Who knows why??)

      • warrior rabbit says:

As a child, the first time I ever read the word ‘chaos’ I read it as ‘chowce.’ And that is now how I see it every time, so I always make sure to pause before saying the word aloud to make sure I say it right and don’t just blurt out my stupid version.

      • Coffee Cup (now with more bunnies) says:

D’oh, I always transpose those letters when I type!

        • ceejoe says:

I once pronounced lingerie as “ling-er-ee” and thought my friend would pass out from laughing so hard. I was in high school at the time..

      • T.U.M. says:

You don’t want to get on the wrong side of Mars Capone, or you’ll end up at the bottom of the Bonneville Crater in a pair of meteorite shoes.

  40. Jean says:

    How about Nom-Tom or Nom-Nom?

  41. Chris says:

How about “Recall”? You will probably be working on that a lot. :-)

  42. Martha in Washington says:

I’d name him Paramedic…cause that’s what I’d need everytime he looked at me with those soft puppeh eyes!

  43. sugitomo says:

Lucas. I dunno, he just looks kind of like a Lucas to me.

  44. Heather says:

    Oscar speaks to me

    • Heather K says:

Oscar is good dog name. That also fits with my fam’s tradition of naming after authors (aka Oscar Wilder). I like it.

  45. Beth B. says:

I think he/she should be named “Happy” because that kind of dog always looks like they are laughing when they pant.

  46. Alex says:

DASHER! Because he’s bred to pull sleighs and has dashing looks, I can’t help but hum: “You know, Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and and Vixen….”

  47. Mary (the first) says:

How about King Ed for “King of the Eyebrow Dots” .. just King for short. Or Ed for short. Whatever.

  48. Alex says:

The and and was just stuttering me trying to decide whether the next name was Vixen or Blixen? Yeah, right.

  49. Jen8 says:

Dash. The opposite of a Dot.

    • Jen8 says:

Plus it’s short for Dashing. Cause he is, in more ways than one.

      • serenpoly says:

Dash Darcy, great-great-grandson of Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth…

      • Marina C. says:

Okay, if it can’t be Kobuk (the name of an Alaskan river, and the name of one of the greatest Alaskan dogs I’ve ever known), I could go for Dash, cuz that what sled dogs do: they Dash for the finish line in Nome. BTW, doggies pull sleds, not sleighs. Horsies pull sleighs! :-) But I still like Kobuk best!

        • Alex says:

-.. is “D” for “Dasher” in American Morse Code. Yeah! Thanks Wikipedia for the extra 2 points there. Pardon the pun “dot” “dot.”
We were only taking artistic liberties there, Marina C. “Bred for pulling sleighs” worked better with the whole Huskies-come-from-up-North-near-Santa’s-workshop-and-where-a-reindeer-named-”Dasher”-pulls-a-flying-sleigh theme. Sleds fell sorta flat. ; * )

      • rattyclare says:

Dash – dat’s quite delish for puppy name. And it perfectly suits “Dashing through the snow.. in a one-horse open sleigh ..” (Now why doesn’t that rhyme??)
Could be short for “Dot-Dot-Dash” which I’m sure is something meaningful in Morse code but for the moment I’m brow-beaten..

    • Dash says:

I’m a fan of that option!

  50. Beth says:

How about Cloud? He looks like a soft grey cloud to me.

  51. Kar says:

    Mine.

    ’nuff said.

  52. jellysdragon says:

Alot of great names… How about Beowulf… an extra idea?

  53. di.dube says:

    pango! pango!

  54. Bryn Kildow says:

    Vilkas, from Skyrim. :)

  55. blair says:

    Spotty.

Because i always did think the lack of an eyebrow-dots tag was spotty.

  56. Julie says:

    Denali! Like the mountain!

    Julie from Alaska

  57. Kit says:

Name him Pavlov! Ring a bell and he can cute on command (oh god the fatal husky cuteness)

  58. pookie says:

    Ralphie

  59. Presto says:

I like Hubba Hubba. Hub for short?

    • amyliz says:

Presto, that was my thought, too! But so many great names have been suggested that I just can’t pick a favorite for this adorable pupster! And oh yeah, YAY for eyebrow dots tag!

  60. Heather says:

My family has always named pets after authors. Examples: Hugo, Dante, Bronte, Hemingway, Austen, Tolstoy. Another favorite option for dogs is after famous loyal friends from literature. Examples: Horatio (from Hamlet), Samwise (from Lord of the Rings), Watson (to Sherlock Holmes).

  61. Scout.

  62. Lerrinus says:

Angel? Halo? Corona? He’s a sunny dog fer sure! ;-)

  63. Tara says:

Are you sure he’s a Husky? He looks pretty Malamute to me, although in googling pictures of both, they look amazingly alike, and amazingly adorable.
    Still, with the brown eyes…

  64. Julie says:

Fred Flinstone. I have no idea why….just what came in my head when I looked at his chunky loveliness!

  65. L says:

    Meeko

  66. Ep says:

I think it should have a name that starts with B, like Bimo, or Bjorne.

  67. Mudbug says:

    How about Mike !

  68. KittyMarthaPoo says:

BEAR. He must be named Bear. If it’s a boy. Dot for a girl indeed is great. Or how about Sasha since she is Eskimo-ish?

  69. elishab. says:

7 weeks old and no name……forget about the name, just bring that fluffy baby to me and all my worries are over….I would just snorgle for days and die a happy woman :)

But seriously, the best name I’ve read so far is “doych-ka”, just rolls off the tongue and sounds so strong and definitive! No matter if boy or girl!

  70. Pam Wright says:

    Hubba Dot

  71. Amanda says:

Yoko No No, despite “Yoko” being a girl name.

  72. mplsdeb says:

Dottie if a girl. Brodie if a boy.

  73. mctwin says:

That’s a Gonzo if I ever saw one!

  74. Steve Hansey says:

    Barry…

  75. Furbabies says:

Bubbles! Because the dots over the eyes look like the word bubbles used in comics.

  76. Sujoma says:

I can’t help it. He looks like a “Ben” to me. Or perhaps “Huck” (It’s part of his breed name, it just leaves out the s and the y.)

  77. Sgt DooDoo says:

How about COLONEL KLONDIKE or G. MARX.

  78. Tiffany says:

I think that is a malamute and not a husky due to the eye shape/color

  79. dubyah1 says:

    Team Dash!

  80. tallulah says:

HE is so cute his name should be Brad Pitt!

  81. Sophie 🐶 says:

If it’s a boy, fluff, a girl then snow ball! He/she Is so cute💙💜💗💚

  82. Randy Patee says:

    Boy or girl?

    Sent from my iPad

  83. tracyramas says:

Cutest thing EVEEEER! :) ) I’d like to name him Niggy (short for nigel) if he was mine. haha. :D

  84. s0nnia says:

    Emory or Mason

  85. IMPATIENT says:

If they don’t name this dog soon, it’s going to have identity issues. Hurry up, His Peoples. We want to knows.
