    That cat was mad

    • Jugglegeese says:

But the guy who was “attacked” by golden retriever puppies (few months earlier) wasn’t.

    • tblue says:

Not very. A bit annoyed, the way an otherwise patient adult might get with a rambunctious kid sometimes, but not mad.

If the cat felt stressed or upset, he could have easily dealt with the puppies. Also, even as he tried to escape, he did so gently and slowly, being careful not to harm the puppies. A cat that really feels the need to escape moves much faster and with claws and teeth evident. Only once did the cat even show the pups that they needed to back off, and even that time the “threat” was expressed mildly and gently.

      • ceejoe says:

Agreed. Cats got pointy bits that they will use when necessary. :)

      • mauderules says:

Absolutely agree. Even the most torpid kitteh I’ve seen could have escaped if she’d wanted. I think this kitteh knew that the White Swarm was made up of immature individuals and played along very good-naturedly until one of The Swarm accidentally stepped on or nipped somewhere sensitive. And then she firmly but gently removed herself from The Swarm and probably took a bath.

It’s also worth noting that kitteh doesn’t make much noise–there’s a yowl at the beginning, then finally when she’s had enough, but for most of it she’s quiet and just batting at the swarm ‘o puppehs with her paws.

Cat seemed more annoyed with the peeps who are standing there filming — “these slaves who do nothing are in for a surprise tonight.”

Nooooo! Zombie-Puppies! They’re trying to eat this cat alive!!!
    Best scene: 0:19: Attaaaaaaaackeeee!

    • Rachael says:

Yes, that take-down was amazing!! Next time kitteh will think twice before invading the puppehs’ space. :)

    I call Agent Sniff!

  4. hilz says:

That’s the luckiest cat in the world!

And I must say, fairly patient to put up with that as long as she did!

  5. SlaveToCat says:

Puppies better be careful. When cats play, look who’s got your nose. They play for keeps.

  6. Nikki says:

This is the second sighting of a White Fluffy Puppeh Swarm in a week! Hmmm. We seem to have the makings of an epidemic! (She said hopefully…)

    • loribelle says:

Yes indeed–if they test a vaccine for it, make sure I’m in the placebo group!

    • Stressfactor says:

Puts on nerd glasses… I believe this brand of WFPS (White Fuffy Puppeh Swarm) are Westies. My sister had a Westie for many years and he was quite the character…. I miss him.

  7. Holly says:

Rest assured, that kitty will be leaving a lovely gift for his servant, I’m guessing on their bed :-)

  8. T.U.M. says:

“Is this happening, or did I get a bad batch of catnip?”

  9. Saffron says:

Kitteh rotating tailio at the end made me fear for safety of doggehs and hoomins! :D

  10. Iva says:

    Oh, goodness!!

  11. Tiamat says:

Loved the spotted belly on that cat!

  12. sugitomo says:

Is this what death by snorgling would look like? *gives pets to world’s most patient cat*

  13. gizmo says:

Wow, that was just like in the wild where a pride of lions bring down and swarm a gazelle, only with puppies and a cat.

  14. Mary (the first) says:

My guess is, that’s not the first swarm that cat’s encountered. But yeah, as evidenced by the “rotating tailio” at the end, I think they did get on her last nerve!!

  15. mimi says:

I love how the mama dog checks up on the pups about halfway through, “What are you kids doing? Just mauling the cat? Okay, carry on.”

  16. Minou says:

    Kitteh is not amused.

  17. Hyura says:

the most patient kitty in the world.

  18. Hyura says:

i mean, my russian blue would have had zero qualms about mauling the puppies. i think this one is a bengal. i have a bengal, too, and he’s definitely more mild-tempered. he even lets me feel up his tail! hee hee.

  19. Love the slurp-purr-slurp sounds. :)

That cat may start marking his territory.
