Monday the 21st was National Sqwerl Appreesh Day. But when you think on it [Think hard, this is your fault it's late -Ed] every day should be Knucklehead Appreesh Day. So, belated apologies to all those little fellows maniacs:
15 Seconds of Bliss ~ Thelma & Louise from Coast & Canyon Wildlife on Vimeo.
Coast & Canyon Squirrel Release from Coast & Canyon Wildlife on Vimeo.
Kimberly Barker gave us with these marvelous photos taken at Coast & Canyon Wildlife Rehabilitation in Malibu.

More info on their McFacebookster.

She volunteers there and sez, “It’s a volunteer run organization that helps the bebbeh squirrels who have lost their mums.”

“After about 3 months of care, they’re released back into the wild to live out their happy squirrel lives.”

Big props to Ms. Kimberly Barker and the proshest photos of sqwerls EVER.
Well done Kim – pictures are great. C&C is well run. I found them years ago through a ustream feed … Have been a FB fan and donor ever since … WTG Marcia and all the volunteers.
Too. many. cute. sqrl. pictures. *asplodes*
That’s a lotta tree rats…
LOVE you guys! I’m squirrel rehabber too, in Minnesota! The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in St. Paul takes in thousands of animals each year. I volunteer in the squirrel nursery and have friends who rehab at home and who work at the WRC with the adult animals and rabies vector animals. It’s SO rewarding, isn’t it?
YAY for resqte peeps EV’ahwhaire. woo-HOO!!!
“If I squeeze hard enough, he’ll start squirting milk out his nose – It’s hilarious.”
…and so are you! These leetle squirrelettes are adorable. Huge thanks to Kim et al nurturing them back to nature.
Fabulous! I could look at squirrel photos all day. Thank you so much for posting these for us to enjoy. Love ‘em!
I’m so glad you acknowledged this important holiday with a great run of pix.
I was sure the penultimate one would have hovertext about pantomime.
Thanks to CO and to the rehabbers.
Wait, no RESCUTE tag?
I think it’s due to a “non-early” rush to publish. Note the Url….
But you’re abso. correct that it’s rather a jarring omishe …..Perhaps they’ll Rehab the Tagz …
I think they do an excellent job at Coast & Canyon – and they resqte all kinds of animules! skewrls, skunkersons, and even the occasional opossum! If you don’t follow them on FB, it’s worth doing so as you’ll learn the backstory for each critter from bebeh to re-wilding release!
God bless the resquters and God bless the bebbeh skewrls.
And whoever is chopping onions so early in the morning, please stop! *sniffle*
Please put a skwerl pic on January 21st in the calender from now on!
Squeeeeee!rrls
I went to school at the University of Texas and we were lucky enough to have a super-prosh albino squirrel (or squirrels).

All of the squirrels on campus were very tame. I once was sitting in an outdoor courtyard at one of the dorms eating peanut butter crackers and a squirrel came right up to me and put his front paws on my leg. I gave him one of the crackers and he sat down right next to me and ate it.
how charming both of these mental pix are, f’d'a
Can you please stop sending me anymore pictures/videos. I love them, I just can’t keep up with them.
Are you subscribed to the rss feed?
