My cat Mia came and watched Simon’s cat with me as soon as she heard him meow. I think she has a crush on him.

I’ve introduced several college classrooms to Simon’s Cat, and they now love him too.

And that is why with three cats, I don’t have a Christmas tree.

Aww, isn’t the point of getting a tree in the first place supposed to be a Christmas present for the cats? Throw on some tinsel and some non-breakable ornaments and you’re still good to go.

My kittehs would view it as a giant cat toy… :) So no tree here. But I did hang up their stockings last night.

With my current (resident) two, we stopped putting tinsel up. (We were very careful about tinsel around my first pair, but they didn’t have Kyuri’s love of stringy things….)

This year, we’ve only put up a mini tree, with fiber optic lights in. And even that is up on top of the tv stand…..

Cats: this is why we can’t have nice things, but it’s worth it.

That’s exactly what I say to my cat as she knocks the non-breakable ornaments off my little table top Christmas tree. She also likes to bat the garland off, which means that she is covered in glitter now.

  5. Mamabear says:

    Me: “Oh no the fish!”
Hubby: “It’s not a real fish.”

    Me: “Shut up.”

  6. Blue Footed Booby says:

My roommate’s cat does this. Luckily, he sucks at jumping and is too chubby to fit between the branches (artificial tree) so he can’t climb. He just sits underneath, smacks branches, and plays with whatever falls off. Solution: all the breakable ornaments go on the top 2/3s.

Of course, this is the cat that figured out how to open my shower door and arranges his toys in straight lines across the living room. I’m sure he’ll think of a way to take the whole tree down eventually.

Give a cat a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Have a garden gnome teach him to fish and… well, you can see how that turns out. :)

I want to be at Simon’s cat’s house on Christmas morning! :)
