I Say Old Chap

Verily I have found Tarzan on occasion overly coarse and lacking the diligent diction common to dignified discourse. Many a time I have been moved to hand write a letter of complaint to the Hollywood Committee On Such Matters.

Krystian S. very kindly sent in this polite baby Lar Gibbon named Sholo, born August 2012 at Drusillas Park.

Comments

  1. Baby Sholo has captured my heart but I bet he’s a real handful for his mama. :)

  2. Your calls for more dignified behaviour have been heeded, dear gibbon. Why just this week a monkey donning a spiffy winter coat was spotted at an Ikea in Toronto.

  3. LOV THIS PYRIT!!!!

    (incl. Hovertext)

  4. Mary (the first) says:

He’s very cute and pretty dignified except for the lack of a privacy tailio on his little rump….

  5. Alice Shortcake says:

Pictures like this make me feel proud to be a primate.

  6. I saw that story and said…. “WTF???” On the other hand, I only wish I had as nice a winter coat as that minkee. :)

  7. He is kinda lettin’ it all hang out, isn’t he. :)

  8. “Of course a primate would never go shopping unless he was well-dressed,” quipped Sholo. “I take that as a Gibbon.”

  9. I missed that somehow – can you provide a link?

  10. hahahah… I just googled “monkey shopping” Wtf indeed…

  11. Emmberrann says:

Would that be as in “The Rise and Fall…”, etc. and so forth Gibbons?

  12. I know – most of us don’t have such spiffy shearling coats.

  13. Sasha's Mum says:

This is a forest where Ikea gets wood for its Täliø line of furniture — which is why you find monkeys there. #ikeamonkey

  14. It’s Mr. Pricklepants come to life.

  15. Nuts, wrong post. Mr Pricklepants belongs to the sweet hedgie! This monkey must have sucked my soul out with his eyes.

  16. Here ya go, ceej’s!! This is the After story/ not the clip from Ikea:
